"Really great care. As a first time Mom I really like that this is urgent care and emergency care combined; this means that if my kid only has a minor issue I will be billed for an urgent care appointment, but if its something serious, she will automatically be where she needs to be to get emergency care. I've always experienced super low wait times. The care my daughter has received here has always been extraordinary; the staff are incredibly thorough and it is clear that they really care about my child. I would recommend this place to anyone with kids. Edited 02/2020: Last month I brought my 1 year old who was in respiratory distress to the ER. I've used the urgent care numerous times for both my kids but this trip was different. Not only did my son receive fast and effective emergency care from the doctors, residents, nurses, child life, and the respiratory therapists - the staff took care of ME. I think its all too easy for clinical staff to forget and/or dismiss the experience of parents who are TERRIFIED and don't fully understand what is happening because the staff are focusing on providing excellent medical care to the child. The staff here DO understand and appreciate our experiences as parents and took the time to give me what I needed to process what was happening. I was a hot mess, needed a lot of reassurance and a lot of explaining and the staff -THE NURSES IN PARTICULAR- took the extra time to explain everything to me, reassure me, and check in on me probably at a frequency that was higher than normal. I can't say that about other institutions who serve pediatric populations in the area. Excellent care, highly recommend."

"A year ago we brought our not quite 2yo son in the middle of the night and the care we received was incredible from the time we arrived until we were admitted to the ICU. Fast forward to this week when the same kid, now not quite 3yo, broke his arm. We came straight to the Denver Health Pediatric Emergency Department even though we live out of town because of our previous experiences and they did not disappoint. We were seen immediately at the triage desk and Ross made our son feel at ease where once he was scared and he took us to a room. The main nurse met us almost immediately in our new room, the charge nurse came in just minutes behind her to check on us and the attending doctor, Dr. Roosevelt, was in the room so quickly that we all knew the plan right away. X-Rays were taken and our son got a big kick out of his lead jacket and we weren't back in the room 10min before Dr. Roosevelt and the team came to give us X-Ray results and have the team start splinting my son's arm. We were in and out of the hospital in 2 hours and my son went around with a huge smile on his face to high five everyone who helped him; that's just how at ease they made him feel in a scary situation. We hate having to bring our children to the hospital but love the expert care they have provided to our family!"

"I brought my 5 year old daughter to the Pediatric Emergency Department and Urgent Care at Denver Health for a broken arm after she tripped and fell. I am glad they have a separate check in desk for kids. I was surprised there was no wait time! We received excellent care from the staff at the front desk all the way to the nurses and doctors when we got to our room. Dr. Collado and Dr. Roosevelt were great with my kiddo who was a little unsure of what to expect. They were also really good at providing me with emotional reassurance that I wasn't a horrible mom! They also gave us very detailed instructions for follow up which was greatly appreciated. We were in and out in an hour and a half! Very friendly and professional staff!"

"We've had numerous visits to the Denver Health Pediatric ER and Urgent Care Center over the years, most recently was a few weeks ago for stitches for our youngest kiddo. I love the separate, dedicated waiting for the pediatric patients. At our most recent visit we were in the waiting room for less than 10 minutes and only had a wait a few minutes before a physician was in our room to greet us, assess our child and explain what the next steps were. All of the staff we have encountered are kind, courteous and clearly dedicated to providing top level care to my children. We've been there in the middle of the night, on weekends, weekday mornings and regardless of the time or day we haven't had to wait more than 10 or 15 minutes in the waiting room and the care we have received has been outstanding."

"My 16 year old son recently had to be seen in the DH emergency room for a painful abscess under his arm. The care he received was exceptional. We entered in the beautiful private pediatric waiting room, but did not even wait there 5 minutes before going back to a room. The staff was all friendly and helpful. Dr Getzoff was very kind, knowledgable and explained everything he was doing and that he prescribed. He performed a quick procedure and my son's pain was well managed. The nurses Nancy and Mary explained the discharge instructions to my son and I at each of our levels which I appreciated! I would not hesitate to come back again!"
