"Dr Bowman is awesome. She's so helpful in working through my optical challenges with mono-vision, which was perfect years ago, but definitely having challenges now being older. Not your typical glass prescription. I recommend her for any patient and especially those with challenging optic needs."
"The eye doctor and most of the staff were wonderful. The anesthesiologist have left much to be desired. I have never had someone not listen to my input on putting in an iv. I am a very hard stick but she didn't seem to listen or care. Not sure which. Thank you Ann for finally getting an iv in me. Everything else was just fine."
"My appointment went very smooth. This is a large office, but very well organized. I was impressed with everyone staying on their particular task. After all the diagnostic testing I saw Dr Manry. I was very pleased with his professionalism and knowledge. I’m very comfortable with him treating my eye disorders."
"Be aware that when they give you an estimate for your surgery, it is a complete shot in the dark. They originally told me it would be $160, then it went up to $400 the day before the surgery plus a $100 surgeon fee. That was no problem, but after I paid for everything up front, they sent me a bill in the mail for another $470 for the surgeon fee, even though I have voicemails from them clearly stating the original amount just days before the surgery. They followed that up by telling me it was just an estimate and that all the paperwork I signed gave them the right to change the price to whatever they want, despite having me insurance information and knowing what surgery was going to be performed before I came in. I am thankful for my doctor performing a successful surgery, but that billing department completely lied about how much it was going to cost and it wasn't even close. I would highly recommend clarifying with them many times how much a surgery will cost, and be sure to actually read the paperwork you are signing."
"Dr. Meyers was cordial and professional when I finally saw him, 90 minutes after my scheduled appointment was supposed to begin. He explained that there were several emergency situations that had caused the delay. And, quite frankly, I am fine with that explanation. I totally appreciate that if I were in need of emergency treatment, I would very much like to be bumped to the front of the line. My sense, however, is that these kinds of delays are pretty routine at this place. My assessment of this practice is that they have too few doctors, as also evidenced by the 3 month lead time associated with an appointment that my optometrist (also a provider there) advised that I schedule. They try to compensate for this provider shortage by hiring a lot of entry-level employees who basically herd you around from one exam room to another, where they take a measurement or two, and then struggle to enter data into the computer system, probably because they are relatively new and untrained. (They are very polite and friendly, however.) Unlike other physicians, whose offices will keep you informed if the doctor is running late because of an emergency, there doesn't seem to be any cause for concern if you have been sitting in the waiting room (this after having already met with the initial technicians) for 45 minutes, nor if you have to sit in the final doctor's exam room for an additional 20 minutes. Fortunately, I had no other appointments scheduled, so I could wait."
