"This agency seemed great initially but when I decided to do my car insurance with them it was a traumatizing experience to the point where I was in tears on the phone call. My car insurance went from $221 a month to $240 with no explanation (and within one month of signing up) and when I signed up for it Craig preyed on the fact that I was registering my car at the dmv the next day saying “well it doesn’t seem like you have any choice but to sign with us, you can shop around and just change it in a month”. When asked if I could cut down the policy, he ranted at me at length about how stupid it would be for me to cut it down while I cried on the other end. If this was truly the bottom end of a basic policy, $240 a month is insane, especially since I even told him that the price would make it hard for me to even pay rent (which was also ignored). I felt overcharged and taken advantage of and was also in distress, which went ignored. When I finally changed to another company and was being reimbursed for the remaining duration of the policy, the refund was still $40 short of what Jose told me on the phone when I called the main line for AmFam. I hope that this experience was just agent specific, but I would never want to recommend this branch to anyone ever again. The phone call with Craig made me fearful to call the branch at all, which is why I’m posting my complaint here rather than calling."
