Reviews of Peak Vista Community Health Centers - Health Center at Printers Parkway, 340
"I have been a patient for three years now. I have been treated with kindness and professionalism every time during my appointments! The doctors and entire staff listened to my cares and concerns and addressed them thoroughly. Thank you"
"I will not be using these people for any health care for me or my family ever again. These sick twisted wannabe doctors diagnose me with a life threatening injury and failed to treat or follow through with my treatment plan or surgery. Instead chose to ignore my phone calls and when they did answer they just told me there's nothing they can do and I just need to wait were going on 3 months now."
"I have been using Peak Vista for almost 3 yrs w/all of my appts being pleasant up until my most recent visit which in turn has caused me to seek services elsewhere & also file formal complaints against 2 staff members. It’s very disheartening & a shame since all the doctors I’ve worked w/over the last few yrs have always been more than compassionate, respectful & empathetic. My only discourse throughout the entire process would have been the behavioral consultations that followed my appointments, mostly led by Victoria Zielinski. I already have behavioral care through a different provider whom I’m comfortable with & have expressed numerous times. I initially made normal complaints in regards to scheduling but for the most part am satisfied & that’s where I choose to stay yet Peak Vista persists. I mistakenly & regrettably chose to ignore this & allowed this portion of my visits to continue as they seemed harmless enough however those moments were often very uncomfortable, felt pressured & were filled with a lot of invalidating & condescending remarks that would suggest the alternate care I was receiving was not adequate. This is unfair & completely discredits all the hard work I’ve put in & is actually quite appalling that Peak Vista would attempt to bully me into enrolling into their own behavioral services vs securing & strengthening what’s already in place. This was even more so solidified upon my last visit that was meant to acknowledge my chronic knee pain I’ve been experiencing SINCE EARLY CHILDHOOD *prior* to any traumatic events. I have always trusted that my doctors were doing what was best for me up until now, granted this was the first time seeing Dr John Epperly, but never before have I been dismissed so quickly. In the past, Dr West & Dr Nonawzki have always made sure to recommend possible causes to my physical ailments, would then prescribe medication or suggest different forms of treatment & when those would fail turn to more diagnostics. They didn’t stop at “normal” blood work & dismiss it as psychiatric despair even though they took those into full consideration. Unfortunately Dr West is no longer w/Peak Vista & we left off at imaging, PT & a stimulant to combat chronic fatigue. My depression/anxiety have lessened GREATLY as a result of this, as well as diet & sleep have improved. The imaging has been difficult to obtain due to work but PT recently started & has been somewhat helpful. But despite all this good news, some of my physical symptoms have worsened as well as new ones have appeared, this being prior to any medication adjustments or lifestyle changes. I’m bruising easily from merely scratching or shaving, have low mood/chronic body pain/fatigue leading up to my period, period lasts one day, excessive sweating, over exertion & loss of breath, thinning hair, limbs going numb immediately even from the slightest pressure, inflammation due to simple diet changes, resistance to drugs specifically anesthesia, & then I have dizziness & get lightheaded quickly. The excuse of “you need to eat better, sleep better & exercise more” don’t make sense anymore but Dr John Epperly in more or less words stated estrogen levels didn’t matter for my age & to talk to my therapist. I’m taught to recognize patterns in therapy & this is not anxiety. I know what anxiety feels like & I have experienced major stressors in the past that caused minimal to no physical pain. I know what triggers my body to react a certain way & my life has been relatively easy lately aside from the unexplained physical pain. This is not anxiety & anxiety doesn’t explain a majority of my symptoms NOW nor did it explain it as a toddler, child, teen or young adult. So please do avoid at all costs unless you enjoy being gaslit."
"To be honest It really depends what doctor you get. Went in once and nothing happened but after I went in again with a different doctor it was totally different. She’s amazing, listens, gives all possibilities and even ran multiple different tests on me to rule out any other possibilities of what i may have. She also continuously follows up with me and makes sure I am do well on my medications. As for the phone situation I have no idea what’s going on. I’ll call to reschedule an appointment and they give me a different number to call. Once I do that I’ll be on hold and then asked to leave a voicemail. After that i never hear back from them. One of my doctors had to call me herself to ask if i was alright and if i was still coming in? She shouldn’t have to do that. I hope the whole phone thing gets figured out."
"I have no idea what they're doing with their phone system. I have to call every month for a refill on a prescription (controlled substance) and it's become impossible to contact someone here. It used to be super long hold times, but now they just send you to voicemail after a 1 min hold. And nobody checks the voicemail. Today I've called 13 times with 20 minute breaks in between and still can't get in touch with someone. I need my refill. Do I need to start going down there in person for this? Just to say, 'I need a refill'? Cause it seems like it, and that's WORSE for your business than being reachable by phone. Otherwise I've actually had a pretty good experience with the doctors, nurses, and support staff. But this is an increasingly terrible problem that ruins being a patient here, I'm about to transfer elsewhere."
