"CCRM billed $400 for our first fertility consultation and required up front payment without insurance. They would not allow us to pay our copay and charge insurance first as is standard in health care. We should have only paid ~$40 copay for the appointment. I spent from August until January trying to obtain our refund and have the charges corrected. They charged us above what they are contractually allowed for the appoitnment, and insisted that we owed the portion they overcharged. I had to provide them with my EOB to prove they overcharged us based on their contractual agreements with our insurance. Finally an email with my EOB got them to refund the portion they overcharged. For the portion that my insurance covered that they needed to refund me, they would not accept any of the checks sent for payment by my insurance, despite having a contract with my insurance. Typically, insurance requires that insurance pays the facility directly and the facility must refund you if they overcharged. However, CCRM would not recieve either check despite, to reitierate, having a contract with my insurance. After 5 months my insurance gave up trying to pay CCRM directly so that CCRM could refund me, and my insurance refunded me directly for the costs covered by the insurance. In summary, I wasted many hours of my life trying to correct just the billing for the first visit. I can only imagine what larger bills might be like with CCRM. My husband and I did finally concieve at Shady Grove Fertility, after being placed on progesterone. We did not experience any billing errors and they were happy to charge insurance first and havr us pay the difference at the next appointment."
"I would like to rate CCRM a five star. My wife and I worked closely with Dr. Sara Barton. She explained the process of pregnancy in a very scientific and understandable way so that we were aware of the problem and the approaches to fix the problem and the probability/statistics of pregnancy in each cycle. We followed her instructions and took medications prescribed by her. She also looked at the hormone levels carefully and provided follow-up suggestions timely. With her patient help, my wife was pregnant after several times of timed intercourse (we also tried IUI a couple of time but it didn't work out due to statistics, I would say). We appreciate that Dr. Barton did not push towards the direction of IVF and her suggestion is always from the standpoint of science and human caring. Now our baby was born, healthy. Really glad that we worked with CCRM."
"It’s shocking the lack of care or support you would receive from CCRM. We found CCRM through my companies referral program and decided to move forward with visiting despite the terrible reviews due to the incentives of my wife and I would receive through my companies partnership. You will meet your Dr on the initial visit and everything from that point on is a nightmare. We could not get ahold of our doctor for questions we had and when we scheduled a follow up with her after some initial testing we got a call from the nurse letting us know they canceled the appointment for us because it was not “ necessary” for us to meet with them. We asked for pricing and were asked for our insurance card 7different times and told the finance team would reach out. Never got a call. We tried switch to a different office and maybe this was just the Denver office. We called the office in Lone Tree requesting a transfer to a new doctor and were told by scheduling they would reach out due to fact they needed manager approval to change our doctor. No call ever came and after reaching out and complaining for FOUR WEEKS asking again and again for mangers to just get scheduled during this emotional time. We finally got a call from an individual in the scheduling team (not the manager that had now been promised to call us 6 separate times) letting us know the soonest they could get us in would be in 16 weeks….. I asked would that have been the same time line had they just scheduled the first appointment like I asked four weeks earlier and they stated no but since they couldn’t get us switched to the new doctors her schedule filled up. Oh but their manager would call us to explain, and surprise surprise. No one reached out again. Fast forward to this week and we can’t even get our records for our new clinic and when you call in the use a cop out stating it’s a third party that send them out and they have no control. I asked if I could just pick a computer of OUR records and they stated they would need to use the third party. We have been trying for over two and half weeks and still waiting on them. There truly could not be a worse clinic in America and what a joke of a team. Fertility is already an emotionally trying road to navigate and I promise if you choose to use CCRM to help you in the process you will waste your time and have zero support both in the physical or emotional."
"Don’t really know where to start, but I would encourage anyone and everyone to not come to this office. First of all, there are many other ways and options that we have found out they’re much cheaper for my wife to get pregnant. Unfortunately CCRM only told us about IVF which is $26,000. Seems like they only wanted to go extremely expensive route instead of trying other options. We have found a kind other, doctors office who is willing to try many other alternatives besides this extremely expensive method. The Doctor who saw us was Dr Kondapalli. The more frustrating part was, we were told that we were going to have the basic work up package and everything would be covered/ included in the package. About two months after leaving the doctors office feeling like we had paid for everything, we even left the doctors office, paying the complete price for the basic work up package then also paying out of pocket for an ultrasound, which was OK with us .The front office did not tell us of any more additional costs said we were good to go. Now two months down the road we have gotten multiple bills for expenses that were not in the basic work up package that we were told was in the basic workup package. Including a semen analysis that is supposed to be included in the basic work up package but Dr. Kondapalli, Did three special tests that were not included in the workup package. She not inform us that she was going to do this. We received this bill and called the financial department who verbatim told us. I am sorry that you did not know about the extra cost. I’m sorry that you were not informed about the extra cost, but unfortunately the test were done and you are going to have to pay this bill. So I will pay the bill but not without warning others about this companies, malpractice of financials I had no idea of the rating of this company and would have never brought my wife there if I would have known so to be honest for all the disappointment and financial hardship, we have experienced because of this company at the end of it it is my fault. I should’ve done more research about the company that I chose. Do not bring your wife here to try to solve your fertility issues. There are many other places with kinder hearts, and people are willing to work with you without trying to destroy your financial future."
"This place is the pits. The billing is inaccurate, and those who work there are rude. Good luck getting through to someone to make an appointment—it’s usually an hour ordeal, and that’s if the phone system doesn’t mysteriously disconnect. The staff does not timely answer questions or process prescriptions—we missed a procedure because the nurses didn’t bother to order the medications until a week later, and after several frantic calls. The clinic itself is very liberal with infertility diagnoses, which both makes sense from the risk its patients face and their financial incentives. That makes seemed to me, but something to keep in mind. We have been happy with Dr. Barton but it is so hard managing the frustrations, terrible bedside manners, and indifferent incompetence of the office that we would seek out another provider if that was realistic."
