"If this review were just for the audiologist, it would be 5 stars (she is exceptional). However, I had considerable difficulties with their billing regarding a pair of hearing aids. The audiologist quoted me one price at my first visit but then on the actual day to pick them up, I was quoted almost twice that. I needed them and so I went ahead with it. Then I get the actual bill which is $2400 more than the highest quote. I was astonished and horrified as I don't have this kind of money. I spent hours trying to contact their billing department. I was told my insurance didn't pay up (not true). I put in a dispute and would not hear back-- they kept telling me I'd hear back within 7-10 business days. Once I did finally hear back, it was 7 months after time of service. They honored the 2nd higher quote, but lectured me that I should have gotten a prior authorization, etc. I'm sorry, but I was told from others at UC Health they had never ever heard of anything like this for a pair of hearing aids. So after hours of phone calls, letters and speaking to lawyer, they did nothing for my time and stress. To reply to UC Health's response, the amount my insurance was to pay was never in question and they paid the expected about."
