"Dr. Eddie has been such an amazing force in our lives. We have been seeing him for almost a year and his kind, patient, and practical approach has helped my son immeasurably. My son struggles with a handful of behavioral issues related to ADHD and mood, and after spending time with Eddie he has been able to clearly understand himself, give himself permission to be who he is, and work to define and use strategies that actually make a difference. There are lots of people who study CBT/DBT, and can provide credible therapy, but there aren’t lots of people who can relate to younger people in the way Eddie does. I have learned way more about being a good parent from Eddie than the thousands of books and articles I’ve read, family therapists we have seen, etc. He doesn’t lecture, doesn’t have a one size fits all approach, isn’t interested in dwelling on the past, and gives us room to take what we can manage within our family and our lifestyle. I think Eddie would be an amazing fit for anyone, but after seeing many therapists, I think he resonates particularly well with boys and knows how to tap into their experiences, anxieties, and thought patterns in ways I haven’t seen other therapists successfully do.
