"I called Sunday night to see if they could help my partner who was in pain from wisdom teeth surgery (dry sockets) and on the phone they said they could check him out and prescribe something to help him. The dentist who did the surgery wasn’t replying to us. We get there and the doctor told him they were too concerned about him getting addicted that they couldn’t help him. It really sucks that the stigma around pain medication is preventing folks from getting the help they need. The doctor said he was inflamed and prescribed anti inflammatory meds, but apparently her computer “stopped working” so she couldn’t prescribe extra strength ibuprofen or a mild pain killer. The doctors here should really have better judgement. I’m giving two stars cause the person at the front desk was super friendly."
"AfterOurs Highlands location: Been waiting on blood test results for over a month. I’ve called and emailed several times. No response…no one ever picks up the phone. The tech who took my blood was googling on her phone on how to draw blood while in the room with me…I asked if she was okay to draw my blood and she said yes. Getting my blood taken was very painful, the tie on my arm was so tight, I was afraid it might actually cause some kind of permanent damage and couldn’t help but pull on it for some relief while she tried to figure out what she was doing. When leaving, I was told that the doctor would contact me within 2 day. No one ever contacted me. Now I’m getting bills from quest and AfterOurs, still no results or communication. How is not getting back to a patient with blood test results legal/NOT malpractice?! I feel completely ripped off and taken advantage of. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!"
"Really appreciated the care at AfterOurs at my one-time visit here late on a Sunday. Front desk was professional while doing a ton of work, and the doc was fabulous and efficient. Same for X-ray provider called in. They were busy (since nowhere else nearby was still open!) but handled it very well."
"I took my son to be seen on Saturday. The waiting area was full and we expected a long wait because there was only one person in sight. This was not the case! Miss Bella did a phenomenal job, working multiple tasks with a positive attitude. She also noticed my English wasn't the best and respectfully asked if we prefer to be spoken in Spanish. One thousand times YES! I love that she asked first. I took my son in a second time on Monday and Miss Bella was there again and once again, very respectful and quick. We never felt rushed by her or the doctors despite it being busy both times."
"This was the only nearby urgent care open after 8 on a Sunday when I sliced my fingers with a sword on accident (different story, not the point). As such, there was a little bit of a wait when I walked in, but you could tell that the staff was working hard to get to everyone. I watched a few other visitors snap at the staff about wait times, which seems a little undue considering how many people they were trying to help, and if I’m being honest, the wait wasn’t that bad (I think it was roughly an hour, and that was with me walking in with no online appointment and quite a few people ahead of me). They were apologetic about the wait, but I feel it was understandable. If I didn’t want to wait, I could have gone to the ER. Once I was in, though, I had to get about 15 stitches and a tetanus shot. The staff was very kind to me and didn’t make me feel like I wasn’t a priority whatsoever, even with so many other people to address. They didn’t rush to get me out of there and instead took their time to make sure that my cuts were anesthetized, stitched carefully, and cleaned properly. They were very thorough and obviously knew their stuff! They answered all of my questions and even turned a rather gruesome experience into a positive one with their positive attitudes and humor. Who knew I could be laughing and having an alright time while I was getting my fingers sewed up! A lot of my urgent care experiences have been unpleasant, but despite this being my most gory visit to an urgent care, it was definitely the best! TL;DR: I can’t recommend slicing yourself on a sword, but I can recommend going to this urgent care!!!"
