"Now Weidner Field. Really well done stadium with a great pitch and an electric atmosphere! Had the pleasure of getting to watch the Switchbacks play against San Antonio FC and what a great time for seeing a live soccer game for the first time. Getting into the stadium was well marked, streets blocked off and plenty of security for safety. There were designated places to be dropped off via a car service. Lots available for parking but cost $25. Plenty of Lime Scooters along the sidewalks making it easy to get downtown or to eateries quickly. Metal detectors and security check point prior to getting tickets scanned, which I appreciated because the line didn’t back up. The ambiance once you’re through security is immediately set with the orb that looks like Saturn and is mirrored similar to the “bean” in Chicago; it’s a great spot to stop and take pictures and even watch the fireworks from at the end of the game. The atmosphere is fun and family friendly, but be warned, there are some rowdy fans that will heckle the players; it’s all in good fun though. Also, there is a theme each game, ours was superhero but we got the memo too late. It was fun to be greeted by heroes and even more fun that the mascot was dressed as Mr. Incredible and did a great job going around to take pictures and keep the fans excited. The vendors were well known and quick to serve. Merchandise was priced as expected, $20+ for a hat, $40+ for apparel. Bathrooms were large and well maintained. Bleachers and rows were clean; benches are metal so bring a seatback if you have one. There is no net behind the goal so if you get to sit near it or behind it, getting to try and catch the soccer ball like you would a baseball at a baseball game was a lot of fun, however, you do have to give it back. A great experience and I look forward to going to another game!"
"Always a great experience and safe atmosphere. Cant wait till the next game."
"What a great place. We may use just been here for a special event with our booth but the staff was amazingly nice. I will be going back to actually watch the entire game soon! The field is beautiful and the fans are very fun! Also there are so many kids who love soccer that it warmed my heart! Even if your not a soccer fan I think it would be a fun place to check out! High energy and high fun!"
"Great venue, there's really not a bad seat in the house. Only "problem" is that in inclimate weather, there is no shelter. Pic is from Section 100."
"Great place to watch a soccer game! Restrooms were clean, seats were aluminum benches so bring your seat back if you have one. Small stadium so easy to move around and check everything out while enjoying the game. Lots of great food vendors and a huge variety of local beers to choose from. Wonderful atmosphere to take the entire family, the kids love it! Ticket prices are quite reasonable and the experience is well worth it, we will be going again soon!"
