Reviews
"I recently joined TACOS after a 20 year absence from training. Sensei John Wiley and his wife Elizabeth opened in May 2018 and I was student 000001. I have trained in marital arts since I was 17, from Karate to Aikido and I can say without reservation this is the best school, environment, training I have had, bar none. The classes are traditional, formal and fun; diverse from Kata to weapons to basics, historically sensitive to tradition and paced for anyone to progress...newbie to trained aikidoist. Sensei illustrates and explains in simple terms every move or action and then relates it to everyday actions like "dumping a bucket of beer on your head" or "serving a slice of pie to your friend" to help us understand the movements... sounds corny, but believe me you remember these instructions. Sensei is also an engineer and understands the physics of all the movements and accurately (I am a physician) explains human anatomical correlates and functional limits and possibilities. So, I heartily recommend TCOS, by the way I restarted my training after I turned 65 yo!"
