Petco Grooming

"I have taken my pug to this location multiple times over the past several months and it had always been a pleasant experience. Little waiting, decent staff. However, after my last visit, the groomer (who I know had personally trimmed my dog on several occasions) told me after the nail trim that my dog had tried rolling on the table during his trim which is something he has never done previously (he is 8). She suggested taking him elsewhere for future trims, and I thought that was that. A few weeks later I’m trying to bring my pug in for another trim at this location. The staff member who helped me said the notes stated that my dog can no longer be seen since the last groomer “referred him out of Petco.” This was not explicitly laid out in my last grooming visit- the groomer only made a verbal suggestion of bringing him elsewhere for future trims- and certainly didn’t tell me my dog could no longer be seen there. So I drove all the way down to the Petco in Centennial after calling to see if they had walk-in availability that day which they did. When I get there to check my dog in, they say they cannot provide nail trim services for him either because of the note from the groomer at the Aurora location. I asked how long this “ban” would last and if it applies to every Petco location since no one had mentioned that at this point. They told me it applies forever and my dog can no longer receive nail trimming services from any Petco location. Petco has always been the most convenient, affordable option for my dog’s nail trims and it is incredibly disappointing to essentially be “banned” forever from receiving this service based on a one-time occurrence. I wish the original staff member that told me about the rolling had EXPLICITLY stated that my dog can no longer be seen after this incident occurred. It would have saved me a headache and a trip to Centennial just to be turned away."

"There was a good flow from the time we entered. The grooming dept is set up to keep things moving, both at drop off and pickup. My dog looked great and smelled good when I got her back."

"Girlfriend went in to get her dogs nails trimmed. The groomer was sitting around socializing. She told him she was there for a walk in nail trim he told her "well tomorrow would be better. Took our business elsewhere."

"My fur baby looks so adorable!!!!!! I chose this location because I read specific reviews about one of the groomers employed here, Isis. I read about how great she was and she did not disappoint!! Aside from being very welcoming and pleasant, she also made sure I got all the info I needed as a first time client. I'm super picky about my dogs grooming because one false move/bad haircut and he goes from the cutest teddybear to an old man trapped in a dog's body. It's crazy. Im setting up my next appt as we speak. Thank you Isis!!!"

"At the time of this photo (5 months ago) there was groomer named Zion I believe. She was absolutely amazing! Always put a bow and left my dogs eyelashes every time I went. Very attentive to detail, kind, and my dog LOVED her. She has since moved over to Aurora pet grooming so if you are looking for someone good I would highly recommend going there. Fast forward to now, (8/15/21) since she left, my appointments are always rescheduled after I set one and now I just called and my appointment wasn’t even in the schedule. I would say if you are looking for convenience go to Petco but now I would suggest looking in to other grooming store options or grooming your dog yourself."
