Clayton Hotel & Members Club 233 Clayton Street, Denver, CO 80206

"This is more of a 3 star hotel than a 4 star. The rooms are extremely small- I booked the Clayton King which is supposedly larger than the Guestroom, and if that is the case then is the Guestroom a closet? There was a pipe burst in a nearby room which caused a flood in my room. My entire bag was drenched and everything in it. My Dyson Air Wrap that was in my bag is now broken. They moved us to another room, but it was 3 floors lower and an even worst view. I stayed at the Clayton because I attended their NYE party to get a feel of the Members Club, as I've been interested in joining. Good thing I tried it first because I would have been livid if I spent $3k+ on their membership fee to one of the most weak social clubs I've ever experienced. 95% of the guests were 55+ and quite rude. Not much food, cocktails were OK. We check-out early and just went home because we did not have a good time at all"

"Room did not have a table.I needed to work, and had to go to the cramped lobby, with a lot of distraction. Parking was not convenient. $54 per night valet only. Public Parking was around the corner. Felt desk staff was snooty. Not worth the$282 ( conference rate). Room overlooked roof and looked into apartments. Elevator was wonky .Would not recommend."

"Beautiful rooms and great location, but very very noisy. Unless you like to be seranaded to sleep by drums and singing until 2am, not a good choice. I am writing this review as I wait for the music to end. I am exhausted."

"I stayed here Friday-Sunday with my boyfriend and we loved it! The room was nicely designed and decorated and the layout was comfortable and functional. We got the Clayton King room and it had a table with a booth that is comfortable for dinner for two. The room was quiet, we couldn’t hear other people in the hall. The shower had good water pressure with warm water and the hotel room was clean. The bed was cozy and they have good pillows, and the blanket kept me warm despite the temperature outside. The lobby was gorgeous and every detail was considered in the design of this property, even the elevator looked mid century modern. We had access to the gym, the roof top bar, and all of those amenities they offer for their members. The neighborhood felt safe, and people we know from Denver say it’s a safe neighborhood too. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and chill. The only thing I thought was odd was that the hotel did not have parking and their valet services cost $54 if I am remembering that correctly. However, the valet attendant notified us that there was a parking garage around the corner that had a max of $17 a day or we can find metered street parking. We opted for the garage and the drive to the garage seems like it’s a longish walk to the hotel, but where the elevator drops you off is like a thirty second walk to the hotel. Plus, after parking there overnight we only got charged $5 both times. So, of course I’d prefer free parking because I am staying at the hotel, $5 is manageable. Next time I come to Denver I will stay here again."
