"This school is pretty mediocre, I do not suggest attending if you have a disability. It is advertised as a great school if you have a disability, I have ADHD and Autism but I'm on the more high functioning end so it doesn't affect me too much. I went and got accommodations but numerous of my teachers have yelled at me or singled me out in class for having them, this is especially prominent in my Intro to Literature teacher from last semester where he would single me out almost every day as well as intentionally grade me low on all of my essays because it's based on his personal view even though he said he wouldn't grade based on that. I barely passed with what I believe was a 71%. And in this class he would constantly brag about retirement cause he is retiring this year. Another issue I had was the testing center, also advertised as a good place to take tests if you have a disability. When I went in there I was talked to in a very rude and condescending tone, as well as they talked to me slow and as if I was in kindergarten. Safe to say I'm never going back to the testing center unless I need to make up a test. Overall not the best school faculty for people with disabilities."
"I would give 5 stars but because of the Administration’s completely inefficient and quite frankly unjust rules that hinder my learning, I CANNOT JUSTIFY giving even 1 star. Honestly not a bad school other than the fact they won’t let me take a more difficult class because my ACT “expired” on their side, it doesn’t expire from the ACT side of things. It’s completely ridiculous that two years ago I would have automatically been placed into calculus but since they won’t take an ACT score after 5 years I have to start over. I scored a 31 on my ACT( 96th percentile) and just want to take a class that challenges me. I met with my advisor who is very nice but due to the administrative red tape can’t do anything to override it. Records is the only one that can but I was told they won’t and you can’t even meet with them you have to call them which is absurd. Also they made me pay to take a placement test when they already have something officially sent this year from the ACT that qualifies me to take calculus by multiple points. When I get bored in school I fall behind so I am actually trying to challenge myself and they made me jump through so many hoops. A significant number of things needs to change with their administration bc the professors are wonderful. Just one easy fix would be giving your advisors the ability to override prerequisites. That would have been one viable solution. That or maybe stop making the ACT expire. Last thing is it’s my money just let me take the class. I’m paying you to learn not to take a class I’ve already been through. What would the point be. It’s like when you haven’t rode a bike in years but you hop on one and it all comes back pretty quick. NOTE: Second ACT I was just going for the super score so that is why the reading and science are low. Just want to give as much perspective as I can"
"The staff is great. But the amount of small charges they add to each semester is unreasonable. Do i really need to spend 40$ on a student health fee? I cannot even afford food or healthcare yet they make me pay this? All the fees not related to tuition ate up over 30% of my grant money"
"Best Community College in Colorado. They have the most qualified professors of all the colleges. Almost all the professors have a PhD but you're only paying community college tuition. I would recommend this college over any others in Colorado and would say come here for two years before transferring to a University for the remaining two years!"
