"Although all of the staff is friendly and amazing - don’t be fooled, for 50$ a night you get what you pay for. Come into the experience with the expectation that your sheets, blankets, and pillow cases are not washed. I have worked in hotels the majority of my life- as soon as I enter a hotel I conduct a 12 point inspection for my safety, and this is what I found. The spreadsheet had not been washed, there was fresh stains on it & hair as well. The mattresses do not have mattress covers which I have never seen before. When I lifted the sheet the mattress was massively stained. There was multiple pillow cases that had other peoples hair on it which indicates that they haven’t been washed. On the windowsill in the rest room there was numerous dead bugs which could mean the hotel has an ongoing infestation - lastly, I don’t consider this a safe hotel. I have never been to an overnight establishment that did not require identification verification to stay. Not only was my ID and debit card never checked at check in but it was never verified the next day at check out either. I’d advise management to update this procedure as it could lead to credit card theft and the allowing of potentially harmful people staying here. My consensus on this hotel is that it’s a cheap place for passerby travel & not a good place for families nor singular women travelers. Be advised that the price seen online is true, just don’t expect your stay to be similar to large branches or established names."

"Absolutely awful. Was staying for a few nights and after 2 I woke up to the old lady and two cops at my door because my old dog had wandered around in the night and ran into a wall. While I was away in the morning the old lady decided to come into my room uninvited and thought my dog didn't have water and thus called the cops. When I pointed out the full bowl right next to where my dog was laying she stomped off saying she wanted no part of it. I got to explain to the cops why my 16 year old dog was just laying around and didn't seem very interested in anyone. Still waiting for the refund for two nights and oh by the way, I had to put my old dog down 2 days ago. I was just there 2 weeks ago and just wanted a little peace for her. There is a special place in hell for that old lady."

"This place is horrible and is known in Durango for cheap weekly rentals. The front desk lady hung up on me TWICE then refused to pick up the phone. She later told me that she hung up on me because there were 3 cop cars at the motel. If you are traveling through Durango, don't stay here."

"Truly the dirtiest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. We stayed in room 119 and the mattress was old & warn out. It even had dried blood (?) all over it. The floors were so dirty we had to walk around with shoes on to avoid black feet. Also, there were SO many bugs everywhere. For $150 a night I was expecting a little more. Nonetheless, we slept safely."

"I stayed here for three nights recently and really enjoyed my stay! Everyone I interacted with was exceptionally nice. The owner, Sharon, went above and beyond to accommodate me when my plans changed the last minute to prevent me from having to switch rooms. I would most definitely stay here again. It is also within walking distance to the downtown shops and restaurants."
