"Very nice hot springs even has a great wet sauna. The rooms are simple nothing is overcomplicated and there's an attached restaurant with great food. We will definitely be returning."
"Adjust your expectations about the rooms if you're going to this place but expect to be blown away by the beautiful pool area! It's absolutely gorgeous. My room was really dirty upon arrival, they offered to move me but I had already lugged my luggage and unpacked and blah blah blah so they gave me a 20% discount so that was decent enough. The pool experience more than made up for it, I am happy and will return."
"I am sadly disappointed with our stay here. The check in process was interesting to say the least. They have you check in on a kiosk as if you are checking in at Disneyland or an extremely busy resort, when we were the only people there. There is a person sitting behind the desk but God forbid that she could help you. Then, after you check in at the kiosk you have to go over to the desk to get further instruction. What a joke. The person we had to deal with was rude and condescending. I have been treated better at high class resorts than at this hole in the wall. Then we find out that unfortunately when you book online that they don't tell you that at this facility there are 2 distinct buildings with one being half a city block away and across the street from the hot springs and of course that is where our room was. This visit was for our 25th anniversary. I had hoped to surprise my husband with a nice get away, which unfortunately turned into a sorry mistake. It was also my husband's 73rd birthday. After much time we finally got our room switched to the main building closer to the hot springs, which was the main reason for our visit. Unfortunately they had to put us on the 2nd floor. Which in most places would not be a big deal because most decent hotels have an elevator. Not here!!! Instead there is an extremely steep set of stairs to climb carrying your luggage. For a 20 year old this is no big deal. For a 73 year old veteran that has disabilities as well as his wife that has sciatica, those stairs are a nightmare. However, we finally get checked into our room which was adequate. At this point I am truly questioning the $35.00 resort fee we were charged because this is by far no resort. However, I wanted to try to make the best of it. The stay there was average. The icing on the cake was when I went to check out and they then informed me that my check out price was an additional $50.00 because I changed rooms. When I stated that I should have been informed of this additional charge at the time, I was met with complete indifference by the person behind the desk who stated that she wasn't the person who made the change. After everything that we experienced I can only say that I will never stay there again nor will I recommend this facility to anyone else. There were a number of other guests that we spoke to while in the hot springs who all agreed that this would also be there 1st and last stay there. Between the ridiculous check in process, to the "resort" fee to the rude staff, sadly this is one of the worst weekend stays I have ever experienced!"
"Beautiful, unforgettable views. The room was clean. It was a quiet Tuesday so we always had a tub to ourselves & also the vapor cave. The buffet breakfast was good & included in the room price. It had a good variety of breads, waffles, biscuits and gravy, variety of meats, egg dishes, yummy fresh fruit, cereal, juices, coffee, some soda selections. The pools were mostly clean and very relaxing. I slept well after a nice soak. The coffee maker/Keurig type in the room did not work. It spilled coffee grounds into the coffee. Also no sweetener or creamer was available in the room. I walked over to get coffee in the River Building and it tasted like it had been made the night/day before. For coffee drinkers, this is a pretty big deal that needs to be right. I understand charging for waters, but the robes should be included with the room and not a $5 rental."
"As a retired Air Force Pilot and United Airlines Pilots I’ve stayed and hundreds of hotels in my career. This establishment does not meet the basic requirements of a safe place for your family. The owner, Ryan, verbally abusive to me. I recorded it and would happily show you if requested. The sidewalks and overall upkeep substandard. Cracked sidewalks. Icy walkways. And don’t expect customer service at the front desk. You have to use a kiosk computer as your “welcome”! They won’t even talk to you! In general the staff, hospitality and overall condition of this property is lacking. Look for other establishments in the area with proper ownership and management. I wish I could give a lower review but I trust y’all as smart and seasoned travelers to avoid this place. Ouray is a beautiful town. Don’t let this place taint your enjoyment of an otherwise beautiful place."
