"I was dropped like a hot potato by Dr. Fisher, when I started complaining of severe memory problems. No follow up, no how's it going, after 9 months of ECT. The best way to sum up extreme ECT memory loss, is its like having Alzheimer’s, and being fully cognizant of it. What that does in effect, is take away who you are as a person: self-identity. To those who don't understand, who you are, your entire sense of self, ARE YOUR MEMORIES. The way you connect with others through stories, jokes, shared memories, is gone. Socialization skills, along with countless other aspects of life, have to be re-learned. I tried making new friends a few years after ECT. I was like a bump on a log, sitting with others very disconnected, not getting jokes, with a blank mind and nothing to share. I wasn't envited ever again, to hang out after that. It's taken 9 years to speak and communicate in an articulate way again. I couldn't word find, then would loose track of what I was talking about, trying to think of a word as simple as coffee. I have an education background in Aerospace Engineering and Construction Management. I clean houses now. ECT was the worst choice I've ever made in my lost life. I don't remember 99% of my life, but I'm 100% sure this mistake, was a thousand times over the worst mistake."

"I was treated by Dr Rayburn and it was a horrible experience. He made assumptions about me based on his biases and treated me accordingly. After meeting with him I felt more hopeless and scared than before. After meeting with him I even considered taking my own life. The most insensitive psychiatrist I've ever seen! Although, as I paid closer attention, he seemed to treat attractive females with a dramatically different approach. This guy is, not only worthless, but could potentially jeopordize the well-being of patients looking for help. I can't say this enough...stay away!"
