"Awesome place to dance swing/lindy on Mondays in Boulder! Great music - mostly DJs with occasional live music, dancers levels distribution is solid. Didn't take classes (yet) but they looked fun and with experienced instructors. Highly recommend!"
"I've been going to lessons at Boulder Swing for the better part of a year now! The space is not fancy, but that makes for a more casual atmosphere which is totally cool for lessons. The instructors are very helpful, considerate and always cracking jokes. Compared to the Mercury Cafe in Denver, there is far less pressure and I felt far more welcome as a beginner."
"Boulder Swing is a great group of professionals running classes for the everyday beginner through to advanced dancer. The space at Kakes Studio is a bit too small considering how popular the classes are. And a lot of the regular dancers are quite clique-y and not very welcoming. I've had both a lot of fun and a lot of aggravation in these classes and dances."
"I have been taking Lindy as well as East Coat lessons all over the Denver metro area for the better part of a year now completing several level 1 and 2 classes as well as private lessons and workshops. I have driven to Boulder Swing Dance for lessons twice now and was turned away both times, there will not be a third. I would highly recommend making the trip to Denver for lessons, there are several venues and very high level instructors that would never turn down a student of appropriate skill."
