"Dr. Chavkin, Jane, and the rest of the staff are all so wonderful! I appreciate how thorough everyone was. And how kind and patient they all are. The whole consult was very smooth and thorough from start to finish. Chalupa and I are very grateful for top notch care!"
"Unfortunately, I would not recommend Mountain Star. The only positives about my experience were the front desk, and Gina, who assisted Dr. Conway. Both were kind, caring, and helpful. Sadly, I found Dr. Conway to not be a good listener (which I feel is very important for a doctor), or warm. Additionally, she insisted on making our appointment for an MRI, as she expressed they would collaborate and be involved after we got the imaging…I showed up to the MRI appointment a couple days later, and was told there was no appointment - accidents happen, but this was still frustrating (after driving 30 min in the snow, and feeling anxious to have my pup seen, and get some answers). Dr. Conway apologized once, but didn’t seem overly sympathetic, or concerned. Also, it’s been 5 days since we received the MRI results, and she hasn’t even followed up with us about our case. So much for it being a team effort! Lastly, a comment she made has really bothered me. When I asked about what my dog may be seeing or experiencing she joked that dog’s don’t even notice losing vision in one eye, and implied it was no big deal. I wholeheartedly disagree, and value my dog's sensibilities and feelings much more than she clearly does - not even thinking a dog would ‘notice or care about’ losing vision in his eye. He has very much noticed, and it’s been a big shock and concern for our family, and our beloved pup. Her comment was not only callous, but telling about how much credit she gives animals. I would never go back here, and don’t recommend this practice."
"Very very good experience at my first visit to this vet clinic. Everyone there was friendly, concerned, and really listened to me. I brought in my lab, Toby, who had had an irritated eye for almost a week. I had already taken her to an emergency vet but they were not able to figure out what the underlying problem was. Dr Conway was wonderful. She listened carefully to Toby's history and my concerns that there might be an object in the eye that the emergency clinic did not find. Sure enough, she was able to identify a large grass seed under the third eyelid and to remove it. Toby's relief was instantly apparent. This photo was take less than 24 hours after our visit. You can see a little crustiness around the right eye - that is gel I am giving her to moisturize it."
"We had a wonderful experience at Mountain Star Vet -- Dr. Diamond, Susan, and everyone we met took wonderful care of our Sophie girl, and always gave her so much love and attention (which she loved). Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we had to make the difficult decision to put Sophie down when her health took a turn for the worse suddenly, but Dr. Diamond was so kind to email us even on major holidays and while she herself was out of the office -- to give us advice and peace of mind during a difficult week. I will never forget this kindness and support you gave us. Thank you so much."
"Cannot recommend Mountain Star and Dr. Diamond enough. Truly the entire staff is amazing. Our French Bulldog, Odin, is treated like the most important dog they’ve ever seen every single time we go. He loves going to his appointments. Dr. Diamond is so thorough and caring. She treated an incredibly severe ear infection that Odin got about a year ago and we’ve been regularly seeing her ever since for preventative ear care. We’re so grateful to Mountain Star. Our little Odie is happy and healthy as ever!"
