"It's an alright school, sure there are a lot of issues but that is to be expected of a High School."
"Great school to say the least. Came here full time for a couple of years. Great teachers and programs. I say to all young students now to take advantage of coming to a school like this. CEC will better prepare you for a good future. If you have a career in mind see of this school offers a program for that. Or try some other program they might offer. You never know you might find something you love amd stick to it. Anyway i would send my kids here if there is ever a chance to do so. Glad i came here for the short time that i did."
"Great school lots of programs to chose from all the teachers are awesome lots can be learned by attending this school"
"From the Top Ten Public High Schools in the 5280 magazine; "As a magnet school serving a population of students with nearly 90 percent FRL assistance, CEC boasts high growth scores, especially in reading and writing. The school focuses on college preparation in addition to offering a range of career-oriented courses--such as construction trades, exercise and health sciences, welding, law, and digital film production--to help students discover their professional passions. Culinary arts students live up to the school's credo, "Do Something Real," by operating a full-service cafe as part of the CEC's Jefferson Park campus."
"So wait, you are giving the school a poor rating because they didn't let your son attend? How does that even work??? I think the whole point of the rating process is to visit a place, be a consumer of their services, and then offer an informed opinion. That's like giving some place a bad review because they were closed when you went there."
