"Overall a well run facility. The patients in a long term acute care hospital can face many daunting challenges as their conditions are very serious and require a high level of treatment. Results are not alway optimum but this logically stems from the condition they are in medically when then enter the facility."
"Dr. Herrmann, Matt, and their staff are amazing. I felt like they truly care about their patients, and did everything in their power to make my stay as good as it could be for being in a hospital. Dr. Mirzaei and Kopel were fabulous in house docs, and the majority of the nursing staff was amazing. The PT and OT staff know their stuff and listen to the patients needs. The only reason I would knock them down is the WiFi. When you’re stuck in bed for 6 weeks or more it’d be nice to stream movies on the tv instead of the phone. To the new investors/owners, this isn’t a typical short stay hospital, so don’t change things and make your staff become robots. We’re people and build relationships with your staff through them taking extra time to help us and sometimes a 5 minute chat can prevent a mental breakdown, so don’t make them fill some stupid quota. Don’t follow other hospital models. Big thanks to the Dr.’s and staff. Shane"
"My husband was very ill and spent time at many facilities in the Denver area for an entire year. Colorado Acute Long term Care Hospital is the place where he got the best care in every area. From case management, wound care, respiratory and dialysis to nutrition, housekeeping and front desk security, everyone was professional and great at what they do. Nursing and CNA staff were incredible. We will be forever grateful as they made a very difficult time the very best it could be with their expertise and care. Thank you to all the staff in every department at Colorado Acute Long Term Hospital!"
"Giving this place 1 star is far too many, I just can’t choose less. I am a nurse and understand how challenging this job can be but there is just no excuse for this place. The response time to call lights is basically non existent. RNs here feel they are above helping clean and toliet patients so people sit soiled for hours while the one CNA on staff struggles keep up. Our family spent the entire day in the room only to see the nurse once maybe twice. This was consistent for a couple weeks! They pass a few meds and do nothing in between. Thankfully we are having her transferred to a new facility tomorrow."
"My mom is currently here on the 2nd floor. I was very hesitant for her to come here due to the reviews. Most of the staff seem to care about their patients. That being said, they have a poor staff to patient ratio. Their response to call buttons for needed assistance can be 30 plus minutes and that is with multiple calls. There have been times no one ever came and I just cleaned and changed my mom myself. I have taken FMLA to stay with my mom due to the concerns I had prior to her being admitted and the concerns I have had while here. I have also caught multiple things that have been wrong or been done wrong. I do not believe they have gotten her prior medical records or they have not read them. No one has gotten and taken into account a true medical history. There have been several attempts to reinvent the wheel which has been frustrating. Overall, I wish I felt more comfortable with her being here without me. The care could be much worse. No one has been malicious and I believe their negligence has not be intentional but due to not enough staff to appropriately meet patient needs effeciently. If you have to come here or send your loved one here they will be okay but will not have all of their needs met in a timely fashion and you should monitor things the best you can. Several of the physical therapy staff have been amazing. They are kind and patient. This is not the worst place but there might be better."
