Wilderness Medic, LLC is the leading provider of WMAI classes in the Four Corners region, offering Wilderness First Responder (WFR) and professional-level wilderness medicine courses. Located in Durango, Colorado, our courses are held in the rugged and remote terrain of the southwest, providing the ideal classroom for hands-on learning.

Our WFR courses take place in Durango, Telluride, and Moab, with camping options available on-site or nearby. After class, students have the opportunity to explore the surrounding wilderness and put their skills to the test.

In addition to WFR certification and recertification, we also offer Wilderness EMS Upgrade (WEMS) and Wilderness Advanced Life Support (WALS®) courses taught by experienced medical professionals and rescue experts. Our instructors include active paramedics, RNs, PA-Cs, MDs, and AMGA/IFMGA guides to provide the highest level of wilderness medical training available.
