"My son got food poisoning in my food and threw up he said you guys does nothing about fights"
"We have had issues for the last year+. We pulled our child because it's not fair to her to be in a school that has so many issues. We were trying to be optimistic about the year but it's only been a month and we are done fighting with them about things that should already be done. If you feel like you are the only parent there that is having issues, you are wrong! I thought it was just me but then reached out to other parents and found out many had issues and have since left the school. There is poor communication and organization. It's such a shame because we never had an issue with a teacher. We really felt like the issues were from the top of the school coming down. An organization can't thrive with bad leadership. It's no wonder so many of the teachers have left as well."
"If you need special accommodations (504/IEP) don’t send your kiddo here. If you end up with a great teacher, you probably won’t have a problem. However, if you end up having any problems that need to be escalated to a dean or the principal (ex- teacher told my child there are “good jobs and bad jobs”. Good jobs let you buy fancy cars and bad jobs are “McDonald’s or waiter”. Last I checked good jobs make you happy), they will make you feel like they care but in actuality nothing will change. Communication is slow and sometimes ignored completely. They will tell you that communication will be improved but again, nothing will change. After being told for over a month that they were starting the 504 plan process for my kiddo, I had to go above the school to actually see any progress. Not to mention once the plan was signed into place, it was ignored anyways. Also the school took recess as a punishment from my child (and others) 3 times this year, according to district policy this is not allowed. We met several great teachers during our year and a half at the school, however many of them have already quit. Which has led to a lot of subs in and out of the building which is extremely hard especially for kids who need extra help. The subs I’ve met are nice and the front office staff is very polite and helpful. I could write so much on the problems we had with the school but this covers the major problems. Such a let down after we had a great year last year, but again that boiled down to having an amazing teacher who ended up quitting after one year."
"My three daughters had gone to two terrible schools the beginning of the school year and so we were nervous sending them to another new school. But we have been nothing but impressed with how this school genuinely cares about the kids and views them as actual people instead of annoyances. Mrs baca, Schmidt and Manyard were absolutely wonderful! 2 of my daughters really struggled academically but as soon as they started attending MVA they were actually excited to learn and have improved in their academics immensely. My other daughter is incredibly bright and her grades were not reflected truthfully in the last two schools, but MVA does not beat around the bush! They were quick to respond to concerns I had and the front office ladies, Rachel and Nikki are very sweet and are a wonderful asset to the school. Thank you MVA!"
"My son was way behind in his schooling from other institutions we had him in. The teachers at mountain view have done an excellent job of bringing him more up to speed. He is finally at grade level in his math and other subjects. This is a everyone is accountable for the childs learning school. Very great way of teaching ."
