"The caring staff at this school are always warm and welcoming. I have been blessed to work with Ms Renee Green for many years and have found that she LOVES kids and Loves their families too. It's a super fun place and the kids always seem happy too! Highly recommend this school!"
"My son has been attending Rainbow of Friends for 2 months and he loves it! Everyone is so sweet and loving. He participates in the reading program. He is only three and wasn't reading at all when he started, he can now read words and knows most letter sounds in such a short time.. He loves reading and learning. I'm blown away he is only three and can already read words and sound things out on his own. Couldn't be happier with our choice to send him here!"
"My daughter is currently attending kindergarten at VCA. Whatever you're looking for in a good elementary school, this school has it. Academics are solid, I am amazed at how well her reading has improved and more importantly she is excited to show off her new literacy skills. The school focuses on a child's individual needs and level and has a great teacher to student ratio so each child has an opportunity to learn to the best of his or her ability. The school offers sports opportunities, before and after school care, basically everything you'd want in a school. But more importantly to our family is that our daughter loves it. Have a positive school experience early on can set the stage for a child's entire education. It was more important to us because our daughter is on the high functioning end of the autism spectrum and we know how frustrating traditional school environments can be for students like her. She is excited to go to school every morning. She loves her friends and her teachers. And the great thing for me as a parent, I know the teachers love her back and really care about her, I'm sending her to a school that celebrates her for who she is. They've worked hard with her to help her develop the social skills she needs to get a solid footing in school. If you're considering a private, Christian, education for your child, if you want a strong academic focus in a caring environment, I would highly recommend Valley Christian."
"My daughter had a great experience here! Renee and all the teachers are great with the kids. My daughter is in first grade and still talks about going back to preschool to see Ms Renee and Ms Joanna and Ms Robin. I love how they offer the reading classes. So happy for Renee and all the teachers and staff at Rainbow of Friends for how much the school has grown. We will be moving soon so my other two won't be able to attend the school but I really wish I could send them there."
"A Rainbow of Friends Preschool and Kindergarten is a wonderful, nurturing school. My daughter has attended this school for three years now. I've had friends who are not even connected to the school comment on how advanced my daughter is with writing, reading, and her interaction skills. The school uses a direct teaching style that captures the attention of young students, and keeps them engaged in the learning process. The first few years are extremely crucial for children. If they do not have a solid foundation in preschool, kindergarten and 1st grade, the tendency to fall behind carries on through later years. I feel my daughter has a great start thanks to Renee and her staff at A Rainbow of Friends, and I have every confidence she'll excel in the years to come. As for Renee, she is a very competent and professional teacher and director. If you can fault her in anything, it's that she cares too much. She takes her job very seriously and cares deeply about the success and well being of not only her students, but her staff and parents as well. She has parent meetings and invites parents to attend several functions throughout the year. She has her teachers provide extensive feedback on each child during parent/teacher conferences. In fact, I was shocked at the amount of topics/learning points that each teacher was able to speak to regarding my daughter's progress. I remember thinking, "it's amazing they have this much detail, and it's only preschool". I was very impressed and was able to use the information provided to help my daughter with areas of opportunity at home. Renee lays out all her policies in the paperwork provided to the parents, and she's very helpful and willing to answer any questions you might have. And last, let me give you a critique that matters even more than mine... my daughter's opinion. I ask her every day "how's school going"? She always says that it's great. She's enthusiastic about learning. She actually has gotten to a point where she wants to do her homework, which is amazing for any 5 year old. And I see her improvement and her pride in herself when she does a good job. Her confidence level has dramatically increased over the past few years. I am so proud of her and am so thrilled that she likes school and wants to learn. And she adores her teachers. She talks about "Miss Renee and Miss Lisa" all the time, and speaks very highly of them. At this age, learning the letters, reading, basic math skills, etc. are all extremely important, However, nurturing good behaviors, keeping a child's confidence high, and teaching them interpersonal skills are very important too. My daughter flourishes at A Rainbow of Friends, not only in academics, but in life skills and handling emotions, relationships, and learning about the world around her. My daughter is happy, she's learning to read extremely quickly, she's enthusiastic about it, she's learning how to interact with other kids and adults...what better way to know a school is "excellent" than the product itself? I'd say my daughter is a very satisfied customer. :-) I write all of this from the heart. And I stand behind what I say about the school and about Renee, and I have proof to back it up - my daughter's level of learning and her enthusiasm say it all. I highly recommend A Rainbow of Friends to any parent out there with young children. Jennifer Fernandez"
