"I was pleased with the selection comparatively to other stores in the immediate area and the store is very clean. I did feel like the security guard and staff were following me and ran over to swoop up my items from self check out to open a lane just to check me out - I'm assuming I couldn't be trusted to check myself out. After dumping out and examining my reusable bags/produce bags, your bagger stuffed everything back into one bag with heavy produce and cans on top. I was so uncomfortable I almost decided to just say I didn't want any of it after all because I didn't even want to spend money there, but I didn't want to somehow support your narrative that I was shoplifting. I got up the nerve to mention it to the manager, who brushed me off without apologizing. Looking at other reviews it seems to be a common issue at this location, particularly with the tall, white, older security guard - so I guess I'll try not to take it personally."

"Overall it’s a Safeway, I will continue to shop here because the prices are decent and it is close to home. However, the staff is subpar. The security guard in particular (I have only ever seen one, tall white guy with gray hair) is very rude. Literally laughed at me when I asked him if I could leave my items by the self check out while I stepped out real quick since I forgot my wallet. Told me very annoyed that he did not work here, and that was someone else job. He did not see her in the immediate vicinity, laughed again, and walked away. Have also seen him be rude to other customers on other trips. Perchance the new Safeway villain? Time will tell. 2.5/5 shopping experience today."

"I always go to Safeway to get fresh fruit cut up in the packages. The price is good for the amount that you receive. I also enjoy coming back over to the Lowery area every once and a while. I did get some of the Buffalo wings and the fried chicken by the pound. The price was good but the chicken was fried a bit hard for me or it had been sitting out too long."

"At 3 p.m. on a Saturday, their "hot food" selection was disgusting, and the service was just as disappointing. When I asked if they could make more sides or offer a discount for not getting sides, the associate wouldn't compromise at all. The pharmacy is also going downhill like the rest of the store!"
