The Original Chubby's Denver

"So, the burrito isn’t bad. The past couple of times I’ve come here there’s no chili in it at all. I specifically ask to make sure it’ll be in there, ordered the version that has it and they confirmed yes. As you can see from the picture, there is 0 chili halfway through. You have to really love egg and cheese because that’s all it tastes like. No flavor at all otherwise. Please start adding the chili when we specifically order it. Didn’t tip this time because I had a feeling it wouldn’t be made to order. This was the third time I’ve gotten this so I won’t be back ever again. This incorrectly made burrito is at a steep price of almost $10. Right down the street on the other side of Park ave is Gomez burritos. They’re absolutely fire every single time. Check them out instead if you can get there before 1:30pm Monday through Saturday."

"Today I ordered a deluxed burrito, and the photo is what I got. Unfortunately it's kind of typical for Chubby's, where the food tastes good, but the attention to detail and service are often pretty careless. Except for the great cashier, that is. I saw her handle a customer who didn't have enough money with grace. The staff seem to be in a somewhat constant state of chaos, and I sometimes feel like I'm bothering them. Oh well. I guess I'll just grit my teeth and come back."

"The staff was very friendly and helpful and choosing a breakfast burrito! The place was so clean you could eat off the floor! The service was quick! I would have to say it’s one of the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had in my life!"

"Went in last night snd the older lady who took our order was so rude and mean. She also talked badly about us to another customer in spanish, not knowing that we also understand spanish. When I apologized after her unkind remarks she laughed it off as if she was joking but I know she was being unkind and talking badly about us to others. They don't really seem to care at all about their customers of being professional or nice even when you are polite to them, especially the lady. Maybe she should retire. The food was nasty as well and the green chilli was so spicy it had my stomach hurting for hours and mouth burning but I never requested spicy green chilli so it felt like they did it on purpose. Maybe they are tampering with the food of customers they don't like. Also the lobby is very very dirty. Someone should call the health department on them I bet it's nasty back in that kitchen. Don't go here. Save your money and tell your friends this pkace is run by rude people with bad food."

"Ordered steak flautas, checked receipt minutes later and cahier put in as chicken. Went back to cashier, she then told kitchen to redo order because I decided to changed it. It was clear she was taking orders wrong because my order wasn't the only one getting remade due to be wrong. Be sure to repeat your order if you want to get what You ordered. Flautas were more like extra crunchy tacos with very well done steak. Service and food are not what they used to be. They did redo the order although they weren't Chubby's "flautas", but at least I didnt leave hungry. Overall disappointing experience."
