"I love the optical team at this Costco. Everyone is great and has been super helpful every time I’ve needed anything optical related. They have a great selection of designer frames and they’re pretty affordable. Shoutout to Aaron for finding some replacement frames in another country for me, definitely felt like he went above and beyond for me! Thanks again!"
"The staff are friendly, and I like the glasses I purchased at an affordable price. They weren't able to help me get my frames to fit, though. The frames were too tight initially, which you often can't tell immediately after an adjustment. I came back to get them loosened four times. The final visit to Costco, I explained I had already been by 3 times and what happened at the visits, I was still getting headaches from the frames being too tight, and I showed them my former pair of frames so they could compare. I didn't know what else to do. Was I supposed to get angry? I still got a headache after their adjustments. When corrective lenses don't work - something you rely on to function - it is so frustrating. Finally, I watched videos on how to adjust frames using hot water or a blow dryer. This will void warranties on the glasses, so use caution. First try on my own, loosening them as much as I safely could, and they immediately fit well and didn't give me headaches anymore. The staff I saw need more training on questions to ask and how to follow through, but I still really like the optical center for non-frame fitting needs."
"I called last week to make an eye appointment for an exam, I was told by the guy scheduling they had an opening at 4:00. I repeated the time twice, as he was confirming the time, I was putting it in my calendar. I arrived 15 minutes early, sat there while the "receptionist " chatted with a coworker, then a patient came out of the room, she continued taking his payment, then says, are you our next appointment? I said yes, stated my name, she said, oh, nope, you were down for 3:00. I said, I have it right here in my phone, appointment is at 4:00. She said, nope, sorry, we can't take you. Okayyyyy. I should have followed my instincts when I read all of the other BAD reviews. I will tell anyone who asks, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME at this supposed optical place!!"
"Went here for new prescription eyeglasses. They do not have the 1.74 lenses which I need for my higher prescription. They also do not edge roll polish which minimizes peripheral distortion. Who knows what else they don't have. So, seems they only cater to people who need minimal vision correction. I bought some frames I really liked, but then realized they sold me the display frames at full price. When I asked why they sold me display frames, they said only the lab gives new ones when you order prescription (which I couldn't do because of my lens requirements). The guy offered to do a refund but they fit my face the best and I didn't have time to keep shopping around so I kept them to have Lenscrafters do the lenses. I just feel they should have been at a discount. I mean, you go anywhere, they sell the "floor" or "display" items at a discount. The demo lenses were all scratched up, the frames were good upon inspection, but still, I would rather have frames that haven't been touched by a whole bunch of people before buying. They at least could have cleaned them off for me."
"By far the worst Costco optical department. I ordered glasses here, then due to extenuating circumstances (the Marshall fire) could not go back to this location to either pick them up or get a refund of the almost $200 glasses (which MUST be done in person for some reason). The people I talked to on the phone were rude and uncooperative in getting them sent anywhere else or refunded over the phone. In the end I paid a $20 shipping fee just to have them sent to my house instead. Thank god the Superior Costco didn't burn down, the Westminster one isn't worth going to."
