"Have a toddler that wanted to ride a horse for her Birthday... and these guys made it happen! She was too small to ride on the trails, but they took her for a spin around the corral a few times... she loved it! Horses and other animals were very well cared for! Gorgeous setting! Will be a return customer as my daughter gets older! BIG THANKS!"
"My brother and I had the best time riding at Buck's Livery. I loved my horse, he had such a wonderful demeanor. I did a 2-hour ride, and the guides do a GREAT job of explaining everything and checking on everyone. The views were also very relaxing and beautiful."
"Our family had a very enjoyable time on our rides with Bucks. Although you won’t always be able to speak to someone when you call (they are likely getting guests saddled up), they are very quick to get back to you. Three of our family took the standard 2 hour trail ride while our more advanced daughter went on a private ride. Our guide Sean was great making an effort to speak to every guest to get to know them a little better and ensure they were doing fine. My daughter’s guide Emmie was likewise personable. My daughter had a great time. So much so that she went back the next day. Buck’s staff were very cooperative and accommodating getting her a reservation on such short notice pairing her with one of there existing special (semi-private) riders."
"We had a lovely ride with Buck's Livery! The young folks who are learning to be guides are delightful! The horses are obviously well cared for and the trails are beautiful! Several photo worthy spots! The guides even help to make sure you get great photos! Highly recommended!"
"We were in Durango as a family for a birthday weekend, and after plans changed last minute we decided we would try to do a horseback ride. I found Buck's via a Google search, and chose to call them based on their high rating. I called on a Saturday morning and was informed we could join two rides that day. We decided on a one hour ride, and were given driving directions over the phone. The location was easy to find, and the total driving time from the DoubleTree in Durango was about 35 minutes. When we arrived we were greeted by all the friendly staff, and invited to interact with all the animals. As an animal lover, getting to greet Tony Llama, the goats, the donkeys, the ponies, the horses and even some kittens made the whole experience totally worth it. The ride was wonderful! Our guide Henry was helpful, knowledgeable and personable. The views were amazing. Henry also took the time to take great scenic photos for each group on the ride. Pricing was very reasonable. I would absolutely do another ride with Buck's. I felt that the staff really took the time to pair us with horses that fit our skill levels. Most importantly, I felt that the staff really cared about the animals. They treated them with respect, knew their names and stories, and really seemed to connect with them."
