"Hi - My friend Jan and I took the 2 hour rafting experience on Tuesday, May 23rd, and it was amazing! The water was quite high, and running fast, which added to the excitement. Our guide was Noah, a young man from Georgia, and he was tremendous. While some people around Durango were discouraging white-water rafting because of the fast-moving water, on our adventure we felt absolutely safe. The staff at the office was very helpful in outfitting the guests with wetsuits and boots, along with helmets and life preservers. Noah was making his final qualification trip, and there was an instructor on board to see how Noah did. Based on the careful navigation of the Animas River, combined with the fun and concise paddling instructions, it was clear Noah passed his final exam. I highly recommend Durango Rafting Company to anyone who wants a safe, fun adventure whilke visiting Durango."

"My family of four had a blast! We have two boys, 8, and 10. It was in early August, so it was a pretty tame experience compared to earlier in the season when the river is at it’s peak (late May to mid June). If you’re worried about safety, the trip isn’t scary at all, but it certainly isn’t boring! Our guides Ben and David were fantastic! I would absolutely do this again and recommend them to friends and family."
