"We took the tour up to the top of La Plata canyon. Our guide Fred gave us an interesting history lesson of the past mining activities in the La Playa/Durango/Silverton area. The view from the top was nice. It was a great day."

"We took two tours. The Mesa Verde tour with Mike. He was a great guide and so knowledgeable, we really enjoyed his company. The next day we took the jeep tour to Silverton. Two completely different type of tours. We loved the roughness of the jeep tour and exploring the ghost town. Both tours had beautiful views. If I had to pick one tour.... I think the affordability of the jeep tour and the excitement is more in line with my family (2 very active men in their 20's and my husband) however..... the Mesa Verde tour was great and we loved that one as well but for the value I would say the jeep tour. I am just trying to write a review that could give someone help deciding if they have to make a choice. If you can swing it, do both tours and definitely get Mike as a guide!"

"We did a family vacation to Durango in June 2023, and one of the activities that we all were looking forward to doing was white water rafting. We chose Rivertrippers for the 4-hour rafting trip. Ayala was our river guide, and she was wonderful! Our family had a great time, including our 12-year-old who was nervous in the beginning of the trip, but by the end wanted to help paddle. One recommendation I have is rent wetsuits. The river water was cold (snowmelt runoff)! The staff at Rivertrippers were friendly and professional. I do paid photography work as part of my business, and I can say the Rivertrippers photographer captured great images of us on the Class 3 rapids. And yes we did purchase them!"
