"Went here for the first time over the weekend. Decided to make a reservation for a private tub to just chill without people. The front desk people were very very nice. We were early and waited in a really cute sunroom. But then we went to the private bath… in a creepy basement. This could be a set for a horror film with absolutely no changes…. It’s already hot as hell in the little room with zero ventilation except a large pipe shoved into a ragged hole in the ceiling. The water temp was nice and hot but because the room temp is 10 million degrees we could only stand to stay in the water for 10 minutes. Showered to cool off and left. I thought hot springs might have some relaxing ambiance. No. Only murder ambiance."
"We were stranded on 1-70 during the most recent snowpocalypse. We slept in our car outside the Circle K in Idaho Springs the first night. The next morning we started calling hotels for the following night since the highway was still shut down. We kept getting no vacancy until we finally found a room at Indian Springs. They were WONDERFUL! They let us check in at 9AM, which after “sleeping” in our car all night in a snow storm with our four children was an absolute God send. The pool was an awesome perk. Like a giant hot tub. Even more impressive to me were the incredible plants. It was like a tropical paradise oasis in the middle of a snow storm. Gave our kids something to be excited about in such a terrible situation. The rooms are a little dated, our queen beds I believe were placed on full mattresses so there was a little overhang which was a little bothersome, but overall Indian Springs was a life saver and so kind and accommodating and helpful. The pool is absolutely worth it. Also right down the road from the original Beau Jo’s, which is fun."
"Really was expecting more but it is what it is. Wanted a private room just to relax and be away from people, so we did get a private pool, which smelt like chlorine. The water was really hot, felt good but you couldn't stay in it too long. A good 5 to 10 minute soak, then just out for a cool shower to cool off before getting back in. I walked through the caves and they looked really cool. Will definitely try that next time. They also have a gift shop with a good selection of Colorado souvenirs."
"The new timed structure for the caves has ruined the whole experience. As a local, I used to look forward to coming to Indian Hot Springs a couple times a week throughout the year. I loved the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere of the caves. In a world that seems to always be in a hurry, I could count on the caves to be a place free from electronics and take things on my time. The new time structure absolutely ruins what made the caves special. Now you are limited to a strict 60 minute time slot with everyone else. This made for a hectic experience when everyone rushes into the change room at once trying to make the most of their allotted time. Then you have to keep an eye on the clock before you are abruptly ushered out by housekeeping. They say that this new structure (and price increase) is to accommodate the “busy season,” but I disagree, I’ve been coming to the springs for years and never felt the caves were overcrowded. So long as this structure exists, I will not be returning to Indian Hot Springs. It simply isn’t worth it. FYI: there are many affordable alternatives to Indian Hot Springs such many gyms and spas have unlimited access to saunas and steam rooms for a fraction of the price. Additionally they sell economical sauna rooms and tents off the internet. I want to go back to Indian but until this policy changes this review is here to stay as a warning to others."
"Not sure why this place doesn't have a higher rating? The affordability and quality are equally as great! My family and I really enjoyed this place. Gorgeous plants everywhere!! The springs pool had more children of course, so if you are looking for a child free zone I'd recommend only booking the cave area. Super quiet and relaxing down there. Side note** If you happen to have a larger body and are hesitant about going to a hot springs or spa. Then I definitely suggest coming here, very size inclusive place and judgment free staff."
