"Completely ridiculous that the leisure pool doesn’t open until 11:30 when it is meant for CHILDREN! They tried to use the excuse that they couldn’t get lifeguards until then. Which isn’t true since they had lifeguards on duty when we were there. Maybe if they paid their guards a decent wage, they could get more, if needed. I’d gladly pay more for admission to make it actually useable for families. The cherry on top of everything though was how RUDE the ladies at the front desk are. I guess I should have checked the reviews before going. Even though I’m born, raised and live in golden, I will GLADLY drive to other local rec centers around. Golden rec center has severely gone downhill in the 33 years I’ve lived in Golden."

"I agree with other reviews about how unwelcoming the ladies at the front desk are. Between that and the dated facility, it’s worth driving to arvada for their rec center. Much younger crowd there, significantly better child watch hours, and a much newer and nicer facility. Golden rec center has become an old poorly staffed retirement center instead."

"*WARM* water! What a great place to have a family event there’s lap pools, rock climbing walls. I really need wait Jim the price wasn’t even bad at all from 750 had a nice hot tub and it wasn’t crowded for a Friday afternoon during summer break from school. Great for Babies!"
