"I brought my mother's Mustang into BigO after she passed away. It needed a lot of front end work. After 3 visits and $3,000 I was told that it practically had brand new front end suspension. They changed the oil, replaced the spark plugs and plug wires, replaced the rack and pinion steering, both front control arms, brakes, rear shocks, and a few other miscellaneous parts. The man behind the counter had been hitting on me and worked she magic to get me the best price he could. When I finally told him no more be became short and almost rude. It wasn't too long before I noticed that the steering diff not feel right so I brought it back into them to check it out. Upon inspection I was told that the oil filter housing was cracked and leaking oil onto the rack and pinion. They said that the oil has caused the bolt to wiggle loose and that was causing all of my problems. They replaced the bolt and I was on my way. Not long after, the steering was off again. This time I went to another Big O just to get another opinion. They were completely rude and seemed agitated because I wanted them to second guess their peers. After waiting for a couple hours I asked for an update where they told me there was nothing wrong. I was getting nervous just driving it because the front end was so bad. I also noticed that when I left that day my Mustang rim caps had not been returned to me. After the first visit the aux plug in the car wouldn't work so I tried to ignore it. It turns out they messed up the wiring or something. I found that if you plug the aux cord in and the charge cord, the charge cord would work as a ground and it would work. Also on the first the trip they logged my mileage as 180,000 miles. That is where the odometer has stayed since that day. The second time I went in they logged my mileage as 150,000. Not that it caused to much harm but it just shows the level of quality you can count on. The last time I brought my car to them it was because the ball joint on the control arm they replaced snapped while I was driving with my daughter and her friend at night. The front end of the car was sitting on the wheel. The car would not move. They took the car off of the wheel. The manager repeatedly insisted that they have me a"free" battery, which I replaced immediately as it was a piece of crap. All it needed was jump to begin with. The battery died as we sat waiting for the tow truck. He also insisted they have me a"free" radiator. The radiator was fine until their poor work caused the car to crush itself. He was insinuating that I wanted them to perform work for free when what I actually wanted was for my car to run and drive well. He called to let me know the car was ready for me to pick up. I sent my boyfriend to pick up the car for me. He called immediately to tell me that it hardly ran at all. He said it would barely go. I asked him to bring it back in to Big O. I was assured the car would be ready as I had an important meeting to go to. Needless to say I missed the meeting. When I called and spoke with Bret the next day I asked him why he would telle to pick a car in that condition. I was told to go get my vehicle or he would have it towed to the scrap yard. To this day it runs horrible and drives even worse. I do not believe they actually performed half the work they charged me for. Their corporate office did nothing but give me the run around and insist that I bring the car back to the same store after I told them I did not want them touching my car at all anymore. FAIL"
"My daughter's Mercedes was towed here because the tow company put gas in her diesel vehicle. Thankfully, it wasn't started, so it would only require the tank to be flushed. First, they said they could do the job. Then, after attempting, they said they couldn't. We were told it was gonna be towed somewhere else to get the job done. Unfortunately for us, they figured out a way to get it done. They informed us that the car wouldn't start because the battery was dead. They made no attempt to put a charger on it. By this time, it had been a week, and I was frustrated, so I had it towed home. When we got it back, the inside reeked of fuel bad enough to give you a headache. I put a charger on the dead battery. After charging, I attempted to start it. It wouldn't start. It was leaking fuel like crazy from the tank. So we had to have it towed back to Big o, where they took another 3 days to have them fix their mistake. So because they didn't check their work the first time because charging a battery is too hard. We were without a vehicle two more days. No one took responsibility for the smell of fuel. The best part is the vehicle should have never needed this repair in the first place"
