"NEVER EVER BUY A VEHICLE FROM MCCLOSKEY!!! SHADY BUSINESS!! I’ve never written a negative review (I barely even write positive reviews) but our experience since buying this vehicle has come with ISSUE AFTER ISSUE SINCE DAY 1. (Preface: We’ve had this car for FIVE MONTHS and still NO PLATES OR TITLE!! Apparently, the guy who was in charge of the financing or I think ownership documentation was messing up EVERYONE’S DOCS. We’ve since been told that “he is no longer with [them],” but I can’t believe he got away with it for so long. We’re on our THIRD set of temporary 60-Day plates. McCloskey finally sent the correct docs to the DMV so hopefully we’ll finally get our title and plates). First, the car was advertised as a BLACK Audi A3 Cabriolet. Both days that we saw the car before buying, we had to go to the dealership during evening hours and it was overcast so the car looked black as they described. Not only did they let us take a filthy car off the lot, but we also discovered the next morning in the light of day that the car is dark BROWN metallic (I believe Beluga Brown - a discontinued Audi color). Thankfully, we don’t mind the color but we were shocked nonetheless. I brought the car to McCloskey the next day and their ‘solution’ to sending us off with a filthy car, that wasn’t even the color we were led to believe, was a full detail and wash. I was happy with that. I then brought the car in at 7:30AM a couple of weeks later when I had the time to drive back to CO Springs from Denver to get it detailed. After FOUR & A HALF HOURS, I walk back over to the detail shop from where I was waiting and they WEREN’T EVEN FINISHED. For a car that small with a SOFT TOP and that early of an appointment time??? Ridiculous. I had to leave with the car not fully detailed bc I had other appointments in Denver. Additionally, they sold us this vehicle fully knowing that the encasing for the wiring of the rear view mirror was cracked and unstable. We weren’t aware when we purchased because who thinks to look at that? Well, not even a month after buying it, the encasing cracked and fell off. We stuck it back on but didn’t tell McCloskey anything (as upset as we were) because we felt like we were fighting an uphill battle. Literally TWO WEEKS AGO, my husband went to slightly adjust the mirror for his line of sight, and both pieces of the encasing cracked in half and fell off and now our rearview mirror is dangling from the wiring (see attached pic). Lastly, my husband has been stranded 4 times now bc, when starting the car, the engine light and an EPC code appeared on the instrument panel and the engine wouldn’t start. Are you serious?? It feels very shady and like we were sold a lemon bc they so desperately wanted to get rid of it. We love the car itself but feel so cheated by McCloskey. Just feels very dishonest and I will NEVER buy from them or recommend them again. Let this be a lesson to only ever by Certified Pre-Owned from the actual dealership of the vehicle you want."
"I purchased a 2019 Dodge on 07/08/22, and on 07/09/23 found that it wouldn’t go in reverse. I contacted the dealership the next day, who had it towed to their main maintenance shop at 6710 N Academy. It was explained that an “internal failure” had occurred and that the transmission would need to be replaced, and that the warranty covered everything. I received a call on 07/18/23 around 10AM that my van’s transmission had arrived by crate and they were starting repairs that day, and received another call around 3PM that the van was ready for pick up and the transmission had been installed. I thought this odd as a transmission is a serious replacement and would take longer. Fast forward to the following week on 07/24/23 (yesterday). I was pulling back into office and found a very large puddle under where I had parked, and it was transmission fluid. I called again, and it was towed back to the dealership. I was told that something had gone wrong with a bearing but that the vehicle would need to be towed to Perkin’s Auto for the repair, and after just getting off the phone with Perkin’s it was brought to my attention that they wouldn’t be able to start repairs on my vehicle until 08/20/23. So now, I have no way to transport my kids at work to their job interviews and medical appointments. I have no way to get to work and have already been told that they wont provide me a loaner car until my van is repaired from the first repair, and when attempting to call back to request this a second time they don’t pick up the phone. I am never going to this dealership again, will tell others of my nightmare situation in warning, and hope they are happy that I may very well loose my job over this. UPDATE I: I finnaly was able to get in touch and was told that I would not be provided a loaner vehicle, so I am without a vehicle for a month. UPDATE II: They fixed it! Hannah was able to explain my situation and helped me immensely. I am changing this to a five star and Hannah will be getting a thank you card from the youth I serve."
"We purchased a car in May and while we love the vehicle, there were multiple issues with the dealership. First, we were told the car would be clean and detailed upon purchase. It was not. It had dirty spots and messes on the seats. It took them almost a week to correct this issue so we could take the car home. Second, we were told we would get a second key when they received everything they needed from our bank loan. I had to contact the dealership multiple times for this. When they said everything was fully funded, they no longer had the key. That's scary, appalling, and unacceptable. Lastly, the trade in value was advertised as a flat rate regardless of if the vehicle condition, "push, pull, drag..." Well, this was false advertising. The value offered was significantly lower. This was deceitful and dishonest. Under no circumstances would I recommend Big Joe Auto or McCloskey motors."
"Leaving today with a new car for our family! Ray Harris was our amazing salesman, who was so helpful and made the decision making process easy! We are leaving happy with our decision, informed about our purchase and excited for the adventures to come in our new vehicle!"
"We finally got the family car of our dreams thanks to Stephen! He’s new but surely knowledgeable and super truth worthy. I would trust him with all your car deals. Nothing beats an honest car salesman. Thanks so much for making this possible for us."
