"Told the tech that I needed some decent tires for the car and to urgently get the steering column diagnosed. Original ticket that I saw on the counter showed around 800 and change for the tires plus diagnostics for the column. (175ish) Got the car there 2 hours before closing so they kept it overnight. The next morning I get a call that the tires are done and it needs an alignment, so they try to upsell the alignment. No opinion on the steering column at all except that the cover needs replacement. (You get into the car, and put any weight on the wheel and it would slide forward out of the internal mount) I'm almost positive any heavy handed tech getting in would accomplish this if my 125lbs wife accidentally does it every time. So they end up keeping the car again for about 5 more hours and I have to call back to figure out what's going on. Attendant advises me that the tech found what he thinks is a broken tab that's supposed to hold it in place missing, and that he thought he fixed it but it pulled back out again. End up picking up the car with just new tires and the bills is somehow at almost 1400.00. No oil change, no courtesy clean (not that it's dirty.. but still) They advised me that they were going to call Chevy dealership and get a breakdown on the part to figure out what's missing. Fine. We pay, my wife gets in the car to find not only did the tech broke half the retaining clips on my wife's beauty panels covering the dash the bottom cover panels by the gas pedal are bent and broken, and the wheel just hanging by the dash. it's been a week now and never heard back from the shop. Good thing this isn't a serious problem right? Ended up getting in there and retaining it myself with a few wraps of steel wire tire. maybe not factory suggested way, but it definitely works. And my wife's steering hasn't fallen out since. This is clearly a tire shop, not a repair shop."

"Wow, thanks for balancing my tire after a flat repair. You only drilled a hole, grinded down some rubber and pulled a plug in with rubber cement, no way the weight changed. Just be better, at least use chalk and rub it off and only mark the valve stem. This was plainly obvious when I pulled into work. Also didn't inflate the tire back to 65psi, it's at 40 psi. So tpms light is on. Have instructed other driver of my fleet to go elsewhere from now on."
