"I've gone to this Advance for many years. Recently, I had them test my starter and they said it was fully functional. 3 weeks after troubleshooting, I had it towed to my mechanic who told me my starter was bad. This cost me time and money in tow fees because they don't train their employees properly. I will never go to an Advance again, nor will I recommend them. In fact, I will do the opposite and advise people to go anywhere else."

"I went into Advanced auto parts because my car was intermittently not starting. The employee tested the battery and even though I could see it said on the device “cracking power good” the employee insisted I needed a new battery. So I purchased one, 3 days later I still have the same issue and I took it to my mechanic and said it was never the battery but the starter. I called Advanced Auto Parts and told them the situation and they told me to come to the store and they will refund me. When I got to the store with my receipt in hand they told me because they installed my battery they could not refund or return it. Their “free battery testing” is a scam just to get you to buy a battery and the second they install it you can’t do anything about it."
