"I recently started seeing Nicole via Telehealth this month. In the past, I had a difficult time committing to Therapy. I had a hard time establishing a connection that allowed me to feel like I was able to be honest and open with my therapist. I feel differently about Nicole. She provides me with different worksheets and handouts. I never feel judged, and I feel positive about the work we will do to help me grow. I don't know much about the actual practice, as I am in the Des Moines area and strictly see my provider via telehealth. However, the process to obtain an appointment was easy. "Griffin is phenomenal, 5/5 and she is the only reason that I am granting 3-stars. I just want to touch on the unprofessionalism and negligence on Green’s behalf. My kiddo saw Iyana just last week, and now today, around 6:00pm I receive an email (that I don’t see until around 8:00pm) stating that I will need to have my kiddo’s dad sign a consent for our child to receive therapy, or tomorrow’s 11:00 session will be cancelled. Her dad is states away on the road as a truck driver and I am the custodial parent. How is it our fault that the practice’s policy changed and you (the practice) failed to notify your patients? There should have been a notification that went out to all patients in the database, and a 30-day grace period before this policy goes into effect for all preexisting patients. Given the field that you’re in, why would you think that it would be smart to halt on anyone receiving mental health care, especially when it is due to your own negligence/failure to do your due diligence? Unbelievable! Update: Even if this policy was already in place and actually being followed, whose job is it to ensure that everything your company needs is on file? If you require forms prior to an appointment, how was this minor child able to attend previously without said forms? Anywhere that I have been employed will cancel the appointment if all required forms are not on file 24-48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. The fact of the matter is, whether you want to own it or not, someone failed to check ahead of time and I was provided with less than a 24 hour notice (which I do not blame Iyana) about the form that was needed. Cancel any and all appts on file for me and my kid if this has not already been done. Thanks!"
