"First off, the massage therapists have always done a great job. But the customer service aspect outside of that massage has been a joke. When the membership package was sold to me, I was told I could “share” my credits for a $15 upcharge. I live 3 hours away but visit my sister in Ankeny often enough that I figured I’d sign up, and she could use credits if I couldn’t get there frequently enough to make the membership worth it. I even gave my sister’s name (different last names) to put in my file/records so when she called, they could look up my account & see she had permission to use my credits. However, she had a double mastectomy so she wasn’t able to take advantage of my credits for quite some time. When she finally called to schedule, she was told using my credits was not an option. So I called & spoke to someone who was going to speak with the manager about the option of putting membership into her name, so she could use whatever credits I had instead of me. She was going to call me back the next day. Never happened. Now, as I have had plans to be in Ankeny on a particular weekend for approx 6 weeks & have had a massage scheduled, I get call today saying my therapist isn’t available on that day and so they will move me to the week prior. Umm, I live 3 hours away. My file shows this. You can’t just “move me to another day” and think that’s appropriate. Especially since I chose “any therapist” when I made the booking. If this therapist isn’t available, then put me with someone who is. (Apparently, they have issues with their online scheduling system, but that sounds like a THEM problem, not a ME problem.) I will be in town on the date originally scheduled and instead of getting the services I had booked 6 weeks ago, I will be cancelling this membership. Terrible customer service to sell memberships stating they can be shared with an upcharge knowing I do not live in town only to turn around and say that’s not an option."
