"I used these folks in November of 2023. Outstanding. Could not have been more careful, respectful, professional and helpful. It was like having nice family helping me move. They made good suggestions, which I really needed - since I was frazzled to the max trying to make a million decisions on move-in day. I had to leave town while they were still moving my stuff out of my old place - so I couldn't come behind them and make sure the place looked clean. No worries - they vacuumed it for me! Left it perfect so I have no concerns about getting my security deposit back. These quiet, hardworking fellas took 3 long days to make sure the job was thoroughly done and left me in perfect shape in my new house. Worth every penny. Easiest move ever. Be sure to tip them - these guys are raising children on this job."
"I used Hawkeye Moving for a double move - once in to storage and a month later to our new home. They were awesome! John and his crew did a great job ensuring all of our items were packed up safely in the truck on move out day. Move in day was Valentine's Day and he jokingly asked if they should bring chocolates - and I said, "Absolutely." Fast forward to move-in day and I was surprised with chocolates. That made my week! Again - all items were moved in to the new home and everything went very smoothly! Thank you so much for such a great group of guys! Would highly recommend!"
"Hawkeye was set to deliver my kitchen cabinets on October 3, 2021. Upon delivery, a cabinet was scratched as they tried to force it through my door. My contractor offered to remove the door so that the item could fit through with ease. The delivery guys declined. As they were pushing the item through we heard some scraping and inspected the cabinet. There was visible scratching on the item and it was refused and returned because of the damage. I then ordered a replacement and paid an additional $165.42 to the company that makes the cabinetry just to make ensure that upon receipt of the replacements I would have two separate cabinets rather than the one that was a tight fit. It is now officially two months later after the initial delivery debacle and Hawkeye received my replacement cabinetry (the one they scratched) on November 22nd. They did not reach out to me to schedule a delivery. After reaching out to them I was told that they only service my area twice monthly and that they could not give me an ETA on my cabinets. I have experienced financial hardships with the setbacks caused by their original carelessness. It is December 3rd and they were rude and unhelpful about fast-tracking my delivery. This company shows no remorse for its clients and does not care about customer service or righting their wrongs. I have had to push back my countertop measurements for two months and now I will not be able to have a kitchen for the month of December or the foreseen future. The manager Jill let me know that she could offer me the opportunity to drive almost an hour from my home to meet their driver and pick up my own cabinets. Jill did not ask if I had a vehicle to support two kitchen cabinets or even offer a simple apology. She then proceeded to act as though my unhappiness with that "solution" (laughable) was unwarranted. This company is despicable and very unprofessional."
"Been very difficult to work with. We ordered a mattress through Home Depot with a delivery date of 6/29 and it is now 8/23. I understand this date may not be reliable because it’s from Home Depot who we ordered the mattress from and not the delivery company. However we were updated that it was ready to ship over for almost two weeks and received no call to schedule an appointment. We called everyday for a week to be continuously told that the person who schedules appointments is not in that day. Maybe they were on vacation but regardless that is unacceptable for no one to fill in for that week. Once we finally got ahold of someone to schedule we were told it would be delivered today 8/23. We called to confirm today and they said we were not on the schedule. On top of all the issues my wife has been treated very rudely every time and talked down to repeatedly. She is 6 months pregnant and we’ve been sleeping on a mattress on the floor this whole time. The mattress is only about 2 hours away and at this point I might just go there myself and get the mattress because this company seems incompetent. Alex and Morgan Campbell"
"**EDITED 4/6 TO ADD: The manager, Jill, did call me back the following morning after I wrote this review, and she indicated my order was returned after they received a cancellation notice 3/19 from the order company. I called the order company myself and they assured me my order was still open and active, as evidenced by the open shipping tracking. As Jill had stated to me on the phone, there is evidently a big misunderstanding/miscommunication somewhere in this shipping process, which has been made especially difficult because there is another third party (CRST) involved in their contracting. I can understand that, but I’ve decided to cancel my order because I am tired of making these calls and trying to get to the bottom of this and I feel this is not a burden the customer should have to shoulder. I have updated my rating from one star to five stars because I do appreciate Jill returning my call and assuring me she would be looking into this matter. She called me a second time today to give me an interim update because the person she needed to talk to next is out of office for the day, which I felt demonstrated she really does care about helping me resolve this. I was also given clarification by the order company that the shipping refund should have processed through the company I purchased from, not through Hawkeye Moving, so I want my review to reflect that that delay, which was my biggest gripe, was no fault of this business. I am still disappointed in the lack of communication throughout this process prior to today and that at no point was I or my shipping tracking updated, but from what Jill communicated, Hawkeye Moving seems to have had limited control over what information was provided to me; I still don’t quite understand that, but I do trust Jill’s response and am going to give small business the benefit of the doubt that a cancellation was received and that the miscommunication was not the sole or direct fault of this business. Even though I have since cancelled the order, the biggest factor in changing my review was Jill’s outreach and sincere desire to help me reach a resolution.** I placed an order 3/9 and was given an estimated shipping date of 3/18. I gave it what I felt was a reasonable about of time and when I had not heard from anyone nor seen any update, I finally called the company I ordered through on 3/28. I was encouraged to give it another day or two as the business felt the shippers had had ample time and there was no way it'd be any longer. I ended up calling back 3/30 when my order still hadn't arrived. At that point, my order was "rescheduled" for April 1. My order didn't arrive, again! I called 4/2 and was told the shipping company had been contacted and they now gave an estimate of 4/7. Almost one full month after my order with no phone call, email, or any outreach attempt from this shipping company (yes, I checked my spam/junk folder). At the conclusion of my 4/2 call, the business customer service rep of the company I ordered through - after an hour and a half on the phone - indicated she'd processed a shipping refund request, provided me with an open case number, and was given the assurances of the shipping company that they'd contact me within 24 hours to file a complaint. Let me be clear, I was not looking for an apology, just an explanation and update. At the time, I had no intention of filing a complaint but was glad the customer service rep had taken this step so I would hear SOMETHING from the shipping company. If you've read this far, you can probably guess what happened - no phone call, no contact attempt, no update, and no order arrived. Today, April 5, I called the company I ordered through for the fourth time as my online tracking for this order still shows the "rescheduled" delivery of 4/1 and has not been updated, nor have I been contacted. I was provided the name and number for this business. I have left a voicemail and am eagerly awaiting a response, an update, and for my shipping refund to process."
