"I recently moved out as lease was up. Said I would clean rather than pay $125 for them to do it. Dorene inspected said it was fine. Turned and charged me 125.00 because she said there was cat litter in one of the cupboards and a few crumbs in bottom broiler and dishwasher was moldy. I never owned a cat. I had a dog. She looked in broiler drawer while I was there said it was fine. The dishwasher looked exactly the way it did when I moved in. Old and cruddy. Definitely needed replaced. I ran a cycle twice with detergent in it and wiped it down. Just an FYI when you get ready to leave don’t say you will clean it because they will find a reason to charge you that $125 and I was told even if it was just crumbs in the broiler drawer you still get charged the $125."

"Oakland Pointe top floor, one bedroom. I lived here for around 2 years. Reason I left was because I wanted a second bedroom, in unit laundry, and hopefully a better cooling unit. There was a single wall unit that did pretty good with cooling the living area, but it never made it's way in to the bedroom or kitchen. I used a fan to push it down the hall to get to the bedroom, but summer nights were pretty rough. I'm really glad there were ceiling fans which helped. Overall, it was a great experience. The people were nice and easy to work with. Maintenance was easy to put in an order and schedule and they were always prompt about fixing anything. I never used the fitness room or the pool, but that was an option at least. I enjoyed the lower electric bill. It was higher in the summer, but averaged around $30-35 a month. All in all, if I for some reason needed to find a place and quickly and Oakland Pointe had an apartment, I would move back."

"This is by far the best apartment complex I have lived at! The apartments were well-maintained, clean, and cozy. During the time I lived there I never once had a maintenance request and found it incredibly easy to communicate with the property manager. This is a great apartment for the price and everything that is included. Thank you so much for making Altoona feel like home!"

"I enjoy living at Sprucepoint. It’s quiet in my building which is a big thing for me. Not always easy to find in apartments. Tenants are friendly and helpful if needed. The management company has done a lot of work to the outside of the buildings In the last couple years. Which added a nice touch. The maintenance department is dependable efficient and friendly. The cost for rent here is very adequate for the amount of amenities & features that are offered. The only thing I feel is disappointing is the carpeting in the halls and stairs. It’s the first thing a prospective client sees when they are being shown an apartment. When it’s rainy and/or wet outside it tends to smell mildewy. I know this would be a big project, but it would make the building so much nicer. Working with the office personnel and management is fine. Friendly and helpful. ** Wish there was a laundry room on the first floor, but I blame myself for not asking about that when I moved there. This would be the only reason I would ever move. Just difficult for a disabled person to go up and down stairs carrying laundry.. All in all it’s a nice place to live!"
