"I just pulled in their drive to turn around, so I can't say anything about the inside of this motel. It is a good location, right off of I-80 at the Colfax exit. There's a Subways next door, McD's & convenience/gas station across the street and other choices just over the bridge. Colfax is a small, but friendly community."
"It was clean and comfortable other than the super strong smell of... not sure what, but it smelled just like my friend Prisha's house (her family is from India). It wasn't a bad smell at all, but I kind of prefer the absence of strong scents in the lobby and halls of a hotel or a faint smell of disinfectant. The room was good sized with 2 queen beds. Plenty of pillows and towels. The service was ok. It seemed family-owned, as the family seemed a bit preoccupied, and we had to wait for a man who got dropped off with a cute small child to get checked in. I recommend booking online to secure your cost."
"Great quiet place to stay! The room was clean. The owner Ali, is very nice! The hotel is 30 minutes from Des Moines, but an easy drive. I will stay here again"
"We left after 10 minutes because we didn't feel safe, or feel our car was safe in the lot. The man who greeted us was friendly. That was the only positive of the entire experience. There were NO rooms available in Des Moines because of the state fair and so we had to keep driving and ended up at this awful place. The room was disgusting and there was blood?? or something on the bed. Walking to our room on the 2nd floor we noticed no less than 8-10 doors without handles that had been forcibly opened. When we got to our room the inside extra lock was broken off. We put a chair in front of the door. I put a blanket I brought in over the pillows and tried to lay down, but 5 minutes later, I said to my son, let's go. I don't feel safe. It was a horrible experience. Everything everyone said here with negative reviews was true. Horrible place. Did no one else notice all the doors??? Such a weird place. Felt so uncomfortable there. Also asked me to pay cash and I felt like he was checking to see if I had cash to rob me>>>> why were all the doors kicked in????"
