"I took my fourteen year old lovable chihuahua to have her use the nice because My vet said her trachea was closing in on itself. She was in alot of pain. So i brought her to u and the lady that said her trachea closing and she was in a lot of pain. So I brought her to u. The lady that gave her the first shot said she would just lay down like she sleeping. Well the polar opposite happened Nvr in her whole life did I ever hear my beloved dog screem!! It was horrific!! I can still hear her and see her."
"Sioux City Animal Adoption and Rescue Center is a city funded facility but they do not act like it! They take great care of the dogs and have wonderful volunteers who make sure the dogs get great homes. You will find everything from poodles, German Shepards, huskies and more. I would highly recommend if you are looking to adopt to come here and find your forever pet. They also make sure everything gets spayed and neutered unlike other shelters in town. If you are looking for a great facility to support this is the place to go."
"We adopted a 5 year old dog today. She is so sweet, the adoption process was quick, and the staff were very nice & friendly."
"We adopted Harlow (right) from Siouxland Humane Society back in July. He was dying to have someone to play with. My 7 year old shih tzu simply wasn't cutting it as she's a lap dog. So we went to Animal Rescue and we found Bailey (left). We brought her home this week and they're so happy together. She's already grooming him, she meows loudly when she can't see him, and they LOVE sleeping on the couch together. I'm so thankful to both Animal Rescue and the Humane Society for allowing us to bring these precious babies together. They're very happy and absolutely thriving. Bailey was initially feral, I believe, and we're slowly building human trust with her. She's been here for a couple of days and we all still have to let her smell us before we're allowed to pet her but she's incredibly sweet. We're so happy to have her. The staff here is amazing and showed us a variety of pets that would possibly be a good fit for us but there was just something about Bailey. The facility was clean, staff was super nice, and paperwork was fast and easy. I highly recommend if your family is missing something, look here."
"There was a stray dog roaming around my front porch area. I did not know if the dog was vicious or not, and my son would've been returning home from school soon. I called the animal control center of Sioux City, and someone came to handle the situation almost admittedly. The stray dog put up an attempt to resist, but the young lady took control over the situation professionally and promptly without injuring or hurting the dog. I wish I knew her name so that I could thank her formally for a job well done and her professionalism."
