"My father was taken here after feeling ill and spent over a week in the ICU. After a couple surgeries he is feeling a lot better. The staff is amazing and the nurses are God's gift. Any problem we had it was addressed by doctors or nurses right away and we never had to worry about my father's health. He is still recovering there but as I stated with the staff is amazing and if I ever get sick I'd like to be taken to Immanuel Hospital. Great people that are smart. CREIGHTON gets the best of the best."
"I have nothing good to say about this hospital. I had a very traumatic experience during my stay here, which almost resulted in me losing my life. My recommendation for you and your family is to find another hospital. I had to leave this hospital, because I did not feel safe. I had several people witness the mismanagement of my care."
"Brought my mom to the ER and found it quite odd that the nurse(male) working within the hours of 11am-noonish, while checking vitals only leaves the door with African American patients, but with other patients the door was almost ALWAYS closed peculiar really. And I most certainly will be filing a complaint."
"I was in Immanuel for mental health reasons. I was placed in the "risk" unit, as I think all or most patients are, even though I was behaving myself perfectly fine on the way in. Some of the more abrasive patients are there. After being kept there for a few days, they moved me to the "calmer" unit, where the walls are painted, and there's less close supervision. I can tell you this, from having unfortunately been to so many mental hospitals, this one had VERY caring staff! I wouldn't have been able to handle the experience without them. VERY RUDE psychiatrist! WORST I've ever had! Didn't know his stuff, didn't know how to diagnose, and made one of the patients cry, telling her to "get over herself." I had two stays, and because the psychiatrist knew I didn't like him, or his lack of professionalism, he held me longer -15 days, versus the 6 days or so for the first stay. Talk about passive-aggressive! The staff were wonderful, though, for the most part. Some of them would just mess around like a gossipping high school clique. For the cool staff, a three."
"Terrible staff, terrible wait, terrible all together. I had a kidney Infection and A fever of 102, I was extremely ill. My mother asked the staff if I should take ibuprofen or advil to calm me; the lady (rudley) said "if youd like"... After sitting for over an hour, we left to Children's (where they were nothing but welcoming/helpful). Staff advised my mother to NOT give me any ibuprofen or anything of the sort.. So you all can gague the quality of their "health staff"..."
