"Loved the signature facial however the employees seemed new as they overcharged me. When I asked about the other rate they were unsure. I then had to call back to ask them to correct the amount. Still waiting on a refund.."

"A gift card ruined a great experience. I purchased a spa finder gift card at Costco to use at Spavia in Ankeny. I have done this many of times before with no issues. They go to run the gift cards, she told me it would be 40 dollars after the gift card. Then I was told the gift cards didn’t work and I would have to pay a different way. I had confirmation that there was 50 on each. When I asked why they wouldn’t work, The only answer I got was “ we have issues with these all the time, you are going to have to pay a different way”. If you have so many issues, why do you say you accept these gift cards?? The best part, I was asked if I wanted them to keep the gift cards or if I wanted them back!! If they didn’t work, I have confirmation there is 50, of course I want them back. Killed my relaxation vibes. As I was leaving, another customer approached me and said they know many people that have ran into these issues."

"Called to purchase a package for a very special occasion (friend getting engaged). Showed up to our appointment and received 2/3 treatments advertised as part of the package I'd chosen. We were directed to the waiting room where we both sat for over an hour, under the impression that someone would be along to collect us for the massage. When we still hadn't been addressed, we attempted to inquire about what was going on. We went to the reception area 3 separate times but it wasn't staffed. Finally, someone was available and informed us we'd never been signed up for the package in the first place. This is very disappointing as we drove over an hour just for the package deal. Neither of us would've purchased the items we received a la carte, but unfortunately that's what ended up happening. The office clerk told us she'd relay the issue to her manager, but so far nothing has been done to correct the misunderstanding. The hour of waiting in limbo only to find out we weren't going to receive the massage was counterproductive to the point of the trip (relaxation) and disappointing, given we paid for services we would not have purchased otherwise. One woman we chatted with in the waiting area informed us this had happened to her on multiple occasions. Clearly, Spavia has a repeat issue with their scheduling. Very expensive and disappointing mistake that we will not make again, especially since they have made no attempt to address the problem. This was our first and unfortunately, last visit to Spavia."

"Absolutely lovely people! I had a 90 minute massage went in early I was able to have water but he was also provided. I was able to have a free warmed neck wrap while I waited. They have a relaxation room that you can use before and after your massage which is very clean and spacious. Bathrooms are clean they also provide showers if you need after your massage. Everyone was very warm and welcoming. My massage therapist was really knowledgeable about what they were doing and super friendly."
