"The staff were so attentive and friendly!!! Which is refreshing! The blueberry poptart was amazing. My husband judges a place on their biscuits and gravy, we will be back!!"
"A great spot for breakfast or brunch just on the edge of downtown Des Moines, IA. Friendly staff and great service. Everytime I come here it's always busy, which is a great sign. I do recommend that you put yourself on the waiting list in advance to reduce your waiting time. Overall, fantastic spot and delicious food!"
"Love so many aspects of this restaurant! The food is locally sourced and the menu changes with seasonal availability. Reservations are recommended. Our server was Kenny, and she was awesome!"
"I really loved my dining experience here. We reserved a table through a fairly easy process. They had a beautiful seasonal menu and I got the sweet potato pancakes, roasted veggies and the hot chocolate. Loved the food and the ambience. The staff were very sweet too and had a lot of great suggestions. I am a vegetarian and had plenty of options. I’m definitely going to go back the next time I’m in the city."
"We checked in and waited about 35 minutes to be seated on a Saturday around 10:00 a.m. Just two of us, so be prepared to wait at peak times. Our server was friendly. I ordered the pumpkin pie seasonal latte and it was fairly sweet. My husband got coffee and they gave him his own carafe to refill his cup which was kind of nice so you don’t have to keep bothering the waitress. We started with the strawberry and brown sugar cinnamon tarts. Strawberry one was a little soggy, but the flavor on both was good and the pastry was flaky. Main meals came out relatively quick. Only real complaint was the potatoes weren’t crisped up very well with the Benedict. Pork was really tender and tasty on the Salsa Verde and Pork. The check was set on our table within a few minutes of getting our food. Since it was so busy, it did kind of feel like eat your food and get moving. We didn’t rush or anything, and our waitress made sure we were taken care of, so it wasn’t a big deal. It is a little loud, but we were tucked in the back which was kind of nice."
