"When we walked in you got hit in the face with the smell of sewage. The floors and elevators smelt like weed. Had to buy shower shoes due to the floor looking very unsanitary. No hot tub like advertised. Breakfast was a complete miss. Need more options. There was stuff floating in the pool along with hair balls. Some things were not cleaned out of rooms before the next person arrived."

Colton, a so called manager, gave me a hard time every single day of the week I stayed there for no reason; a very clueless, controlling and obnoxious person, feel bad for his staff, they seem on edge around him. I guess most of us had a terrible manager at one point or the other, life goes on..."

"Great hotel! Clean rooms, comfortable beds and a continental breakfast made with pride/love. But above all of this, it was the service that won us over. We got in late after a day on the road fraught with issues and setbacks. Jalen checked us in and was extremely patient/kind to us as we struggled to make use of the room amenities (to the point where I'm sure we were being annoying). The extra few moments she graciously spent with us to make sure we were happy/comfortable ensured that will will be repeat visitors anytime we're back in Des Moines. Management would be wise to do what it takes to retain top-tier talent like Jalen!"

The experience was well worth the reasonable price, which I got on the Internet. I dinged the rooms 1 star because the beds in our room were full-size rather than queen as advertised. We did not try the pool or fitness center."
