"We love this place! Sasha always greets us with her smile and her laugh is contagious! We have always been pleased with our food. The atmosphere is friendly and the bar is always clean!"
"Owners both working when we came in. That gets my respect. Food was good, salad is better than most nice restaurants. Beer is in chilled glasses. TVs are plentiful. Give them a try."
"Was a frequent customer of this place for many years while it was VIctor’s & The U. Always loved their food. New ownership now. Went in today & ordered the grinder. Worst sandwich I’ve ever had. Was shocked how quick it was served. Not on toasted bun as it was for years. Flavor was not there, served cold with Mozzarella sprinkled on top & not melted. Ordered onion rings for my side ~ obvious oil in fryer was over due to be changed. OR were very dark and could not even taste an onion. Complained to bartender and her response was “well we have a new cook” Sat at bar & customer next to us complained to bartender ~ showed her a bug in his draft beer. Overly disappointed and after spending $65 including a few drinks & tip … it was Wednesday wing day. I ordered 20 wings to bring home. They were dry rubbed, made sure they were fully cooked, ate one & will be throwing the remaining 19 off the gravel road for the critters. What a waste of money, they will never see me return. Bartender should of never served the sandwich & if I had not been so eager to make an appointment, I would of complained to mgmt. before leaving! John Taffer would of been disgusted! ~ guessing we will hear it changes ownership again soon. I’ll never return ~ Pretty sad that what was once a thriving spot in Urbandale is no longer! I will add that I worked at Victor’s for 10 years part time, we had a full bar regularly & repeat customers that ate there often. Never closed before 1 am as we were always busy. Writing this review I was shocked to see how early they were closed. Obvious they don’t have enough customers to keep the place open! We were there at 1:00 in the afternoon & they had more staff there then the total of 3 customers at bar & 3 customers at a table that were playing cards."
"Drinks were great. Breakfast was incredible. 15-20 patrons in here on a Sunday morning. One bartender/waiter and one cook. They did a great job keeping up with everything despite being short staffed. Will definitely be back again."
"If I could give this place zero stars, I would. We sat down at 10:55am. Servers passed us several times without acknowledging us. We were beginning to think maybe we were invisible so we stopped a passing server at 11:10 and asked if she could take our drink order. She said the other server had our table and would send her over. The other server never came over so we asked the original person if she could maybe take our drink order. She begrudgingly took our drink orders but took off before we could ask about ordering food At 11:35, we finally were able to order food and were told that hash browns aren’t served after 11:30. We informed the server that we had been ready to order earlier but no one was able to take our order. At least 2 people in our party ordered hash but had to sub tots for hashbrowns, which is the weirdest way to get hash. I ordered a cheddar cheese omelet, which was prepared with cheese that looked a lot like Kraft singles (which isn’t actually considered real cheese). We had to flag the server down to order more drinks as well as to pay. The servers seemed to be more concerned about changing the channels on the TV than actually taking orders and helping customers. We finally were able to leave at 1:30pm after one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had. I understand that establishments are short staffed right now but there is never an excuse for rudeness."
