"Great little pub we stopped at for lunch, great food and great service. We had a tenderloin, a Ruben and a classic burger. Love the crinkle cut fries. A different lunch special everyday. Check them out sometime."
"Frustrating option because it has so much potential. With all of the chain restaurants & cookie cutter brew pubs, Micky's offers something different. It simply needs to find where it's best potential lies & my advice to them is to be different than the local options. It has a wide enough menu w/ a number of great options. Simply put, it does simple well. And that's not what the competition is doing. They overthink their menu, are too expensive & focus way too much on designer beer. Micky's keeps it simple & that's good. Where it has challenges: 1. not enough seating & hi top tables aren't for everyone. I would go w/ more traditional tables (w/ different seating) & get rid of the game area. I can't imagine you are making money there - people are turned away on busy nights. 2. Bingo - love this concept. I imagine it works very well for you. But hosting it on traditional "football nights" like Monday, Thursday, Saturday or Sunday doesn't make sense. People come on those nights to watch & listen to the game. And bingo turns into a distraction or even an annoyance because you have competing customers. Tuesday, Wednesday are great nights for bingo & traditionally slow nights in the restaurant game. Play bingo then so you are busy every night. 3. Parking - with more retail in the area, incl restaurants, parking is turning into an issue. By leveling off your crowds through pt #2 above, you help w/ the parking situation. 4. Thumbs up in having a ton of tv's in the joint. But you need to pay more attention to what you are showing. Having the same game on an entire wall doesn't make sense. It's rare when the whole room wants to watch the same game. Every bar/restaurant is showing the same game. Be different. Since you have so many tv's, use it for the benefit of your customers & let them watch all the games. You'll attract way more customers & keep them."
"Same great food as Iowa City. We had the chicken tenders, buffalo chicken sandwhich and hot honey chicken sandwhich. All were very good. Just a heads up the hot buffalo sauce is habanero hot. Hot, but very tasty."
"Stopped for lunch looking for fish & chips and my son ordered the french dip that was the special of the day. Great service, perfect food and great N. Liberty atmosphere. Thanks to the back of the house for showing some love for your creations. We will be back."
"We ordered chicken strips and received a bread bun sandwich with no meat. We ordered the Cobb salad and the avocado was rotten and the lettuce was brown. I was disappointed, as the Mickeys Downtown was always so good, see pics attached."
