Sugapeach Chicken & Fish Fry

"Stopped in for lunch today. Very, very good food, service, and people! I had a chicken sandwich, dirty rice, and coleslaw. I’m a coleslaw guy and this was the best I have ever had! I will be back to try the catfish and other sides."

Absolutely delicious meal, the catfish was tasty and crispy and wasn’t the slightest bit greasy at all (as fish and chips can be sometimes). My side of sweet potato fries was very tasty as well. "I used to love this place but was extremely disappointed today. I ordered the chicken and fish combo with a side of green beans, collard greens and hush puppies. For $60 the fried fish looks like stuff that you bought from Walmart's frozen section and not the normal fried fish that they serve. The chicken that I got was supposed to be spicy but what I got was the original. Also you can tell they've been sitting around for a long time and not fresh. The first picture was the fish and chicken I got before and the last two are what I got today."

"Well, we had to finally make a trip to Iowa City. Since soul food is hard to find in the Midwest, we HAD to try Sugapeach. We decided to split a Pleaser combo and a 4 side vegetable plate. What a great choice! Most of the Midwest is missing the boat on okra! Their okra is close to homemade. The crunch was there, the flavor was there and we had to do an order each. The collared greens were some of the best that I've had in a while. The chicken was so juicy that it was dripping and the catfish was close to fresh caught! Do yourself a favor and try the Fin and Beak sauce on the fish and everything else that you order. It's a great sweet heat sauce. The BBQ sauce is solid. Last, if you like sweet iced tea, get theirs! The tea is solid and it's as sweet as it comes! The unsweetened is fantastic. We WILL be back!"
