"Exceptional food, served respectfully, in a cafeteria-- and I mean that in a positive way. It's really great food!!! But aside from the quality of the food and its presentation, the rest of the restaurant is very simple and unpretentious. Prices are well controlled as a result. I've never been disappointed in the quality or flavor of the food here. Portion sizes are very generous, outpaced only by the flavors."

"Food is enormous and absolutely delicious with great value for the prices. I can't say enough good things about the food, so many fresh ingredients and flavors. The drinks are absolutely enormous, even the "small" size. With the value proposition comes some less than appealing aspects: very loud and warehouse feel of the restaurant and long wait times. I have visited 2x at original isla and now 3x at Isla II, it has always been quick at original, but there has been consistently long wait times at this location. Each time the staff has apologized for the long waits with the excuse of a large table came in right before our table. Once is okay, but 3 consecutive times is a pattern that needs to be fixed. We also had some issues with kitchen forgetting requests (peeled shrimp vs whole), simple mistake but really effects the enjoyment of the meal. If they can solve the long wait times and catch the small kitchen errors, this place is top 10"

"Stopped by without planning in advance... so worth the drop in. The shrimp were good and would have been awesome with just a little more of a kick in spice. The quesadillas were not only amazing but huge! The burrito that he ordered was not what we expected... it was more like a soup with a burrito dropped in it. We thought it would be a little bit of sauce, and we were wrong. The favor was really good. We would order again if we could get about 1/4 of the juice it was in. Our server ended up with a huge party while we were there and not once had our drinks went without notice from her and the server that was helping the table next to us. They both did a phenomenal job. Highly recommend if you are looking for a good meal."
