Girl Scouts

"Don't care about any leader. They get you signed up then don't help with anything. Keeping in mind we are volunteers as they get paid. Staff at council are beyond rude all the good ones leave. Beth only cares about cookies and money,not about leaders or the girls. My wife has been a leader for over 5 yrs. I keep asking her to give not worth it anymore. Especially to be treated less than when she's a volunteers. Council doesn't reward leaders!!"

"They tend to be helpful to new volunteers, but the support quickly falls away. There is poor communication between staff, and as staff changes the rules and policies appear to as well. Policies are inconsistently applied and when confronted with a complaint that an employee was discriminating against volunteers due to health issues (that didn't affect the girls) they disbanded the troop and got rid of several volunteers (including the one that complained). They kept the discriminatory staff member and had her continue working with the Juniors that stayed. (The incident caused at least 6 volunteers and over 10 girls to become inactive and these individuals will NOT be continuing next year.)"
